We are pretty much the same. Never been to Alaska and this Is a dream trip, so no matter what ship conditions are we are hoping Alaska beauty overrides everything else. We leave July4th and staying In Vancouver a couple days before hoping to enjoy time there too. Staying at the Pan Pacific.

We just had our first mini suite on the Sky Princess in Jan and loved it. My wife has a little mobility issue and still enjoyed the bathtub as it was not too high in and out. The extra space with the sofa was very nice as well. We have always had a balcony which has always been perfect. Our daughter came with us and actually slept in the sofa and said was very comfortable. I would think you will enjoy the extra space.

My wife and I are going on our first Alaska cruise in July and are very excited. But one concern is what the ship will be like. We have been on 10 other princess cruises and most recently on the Sky Princess 2x in past year, the Royal before that. So it has been some time since we have been on lets say a little older ship. We have seen a lot of negative reviews on here recently about the ship conditions. I know negative reviews are easier to write and more likely than positive. I guess we just want to try to keep up the positive vibes and stay excited as we are sure Alaska will be something we have never seen and I assume will be blown away as we are east coasters and only been in Caribbean. Any insight is appreciated.

That sounds like some awesome excursions for sure. We are also doing a seaplane ride in Juneau and some whale watching in Icy straight. If you get a chance when you get back I'd love to hear how it all does. We leave July 1st and our first time even going out west of Nashville.

I tried on the WestJet website under MyTrips as well and used the Confirmation number that is all letters and our last name and it was unable to find our trip. I guess maybe we will need to wait 45-30days out. I just found it odd as the 3 other flights with 2 with United and 1 with Delta we were able to get seat assignments. Issue appears to be with just WestJet.

We booked our flights with EZair for Alaska Cruise and we have one stop going and returning. We are flying from Myrtle Beach to Vancouver and back from there. We are flying out 7/1 and it's with United and we were able to get our seats assigned. Then the return flight on 7/15 is with Delta(Actually WestJet) for the first part to Atlanta and we are unable to get seats assigned. The error message says "Were Sorry. Seat selection for this flight is not currently available. Once the flight is booked, you can check back at a later time or call the airline directly to select seats" . I tried to call airline and got nowhere with Automated system, then called Princess and they said that the Airline has not released the seats available for them as of yet. Has anyone had this happen? They say to keep checking back and should be soon. I feel we will have seats, but sure would be nice to get them assigned.

I did the same, wife knows but not this car as well. I'm sure she will enjoy it. thesmiths, what are your other surprises? And looks like you are from Delaware. We are in Myrtle Beach now, but lived in up there for 40 years.

LOL that funny. I’m just trying to get an answer to a question. And figured I would ask the entire Princess group. I get Alaska is specific but the Princess group as a whole is awesome. You didn’t even take the time to offer anything to the question. Anyway, anyone who can offer any insight is appreciated. Thank you.

We are debating on taking the luxury car option on Princess and if it's worth the upgrade? My wife has some mobility issues and the swivel chair, food and personal assistant see interesting. I get the price is your choice, but has anyone tried it out and what was your experience?

We will be in Juneau in July this year We arrive at 1pm but taking a tour from 2-6:30 and the ship leaves at 9pm, based on that anyone think it is possible to get King crab legs at Tracy's? We hear that is the place to get them on a cruise to Alaska. Unless anyone knows of another place, please let us know. We will be at the usual stops, Ketchikan, Skagway and Sitka, Juneau and Vancouver. We want to try some and know there was no season this year, So seems like limited options.

Wow, good to know its a holiday. But we will be arriving at the Airport about 6:30pm. Would you say that taking the SkyTrain to Pan Pacific, where we are staying will be much better than a cab. And what should we expect as far as the Sky Train and traffic on 7/1 at that time. Once we are there no cares as we will be tired and ok to stay in room for that night.

We just booked a 10day on the Crown out of Vancouver leaving July4th. It’s for sure my wife’s dream bucket list trip. I’m looking for any advice, tips and experience on great excursions. We will be in Juneau from 1-9pm, Skagway, Sitka, Ketchikan and Icy Straight. We know they are all a bit pricey but we are open to all options. The one caveat is my wife does not have the best mobility with bad arthritis. So far only thoughts were possible rail ride in Skagway and maybe Some type of whale watching in Juneau or maybe some helicopter trip. Thanks for any help.

We are in Myrtle beach so I think being a smaller market may be a little tougher to get back. But yep we are in the crown and so Excited as we have never been even to west coast let alone Alaska.

I need help as we are taking our first Alaska cruise leaving July 4th and returning July 14th. My question is what do you guys do for traveling from the east coast for flying in and out. It appears the times are tough. We are good and actually Wanting to fly in early maybe a couple days so arrival flights not a big concern. But coming home, looks like earliest we can get off ship would be 7:30am and lookS like no flights leave until 10:30pm for overnight flights. What do you do between getting off ship and then? I think looks like we need to get a hotel and leave Next morning? But more experienced travelers let me know thoughts. This is our first trip to west coast. Thanks everyone.

We will be on a trip 12/27 with our daughter and was wondering if anyone had a picture of what the pull-out sofa bed looks like. I assume when it's opened up the access to the Balcony would be difficult. But just curious what it looks like and if anyone has thoughts as to how comfortable they are.

We leave on 12/27 for an 11 day trip. Just wondering how current cruises are making out, especially in the Caribbean. We are not the type that worry, but the media is just crazy right now. With Covid, Flu, RSV can’t help but to just hope you have a good vacation. Anyway trying not to stress but just curious what is going on out there in real time.

I'm just curious, did you guys order more than one dinner at a time, I have heard they will let you but just have never done that yet. We are going in three weeks and would like to try some different dishes but don't want to feel uncomfortable ordering more than one. Just wasn't sure what others do?

We made final payment on out trip months ago as we are sailing 12/27. I didn't think the new changes affected us yet. But who knows, like all of us I'm just a little disappointed in losing some previous perks. But I do understand its a business.

We are just three weeks until we board and just got a email that our medallion order was canceled, and we can pick up at the pier. I know not a big deal as we have picked them up there before, but I was wondering why the issue as we ordered them months ago. The only thing I can think of was that we had one custom medallion for my daughter and the other two were the generic versions. I guess my only other question would be if you can still get a custom medallion at the pier or onboard? I know you can get other accessories, but wasn't sure about the actual medallion. I am wanting to plan a cruise. We have only ever been to the Caribbean. But it’s my wife’s dream to go to Alaska. We are in South Carolina so this would be a big trip for us and want To make the most of it. Should we do more than a 7 day? Which route would be the best? Should we spend a couple extra days in Seattle or Vancouver? Let’s say we had 10 days, what would be our best way to spend it to see the most? Thanks for any suggestions as we know this would be a once and a Life time trip.

Do you know if in the ceremony you can read your own vows? And where does the ceremony take place? I know you can choose the day, any thoughts on best day and time?

Has anyone got put on an excursion waitlist. We have for a trip on 12/27 and was curious what anyone has experienced. What are the odds it might open up and maybe they will save some for onboard signups?

Has anyone done this before and what Is it like? I know it’s expensive but wondering what kind of experience it would be for my wife if I surprised her. Thanks for any insight.
