In a perfect world, sure, but if it is my job to collect something by a certain date I would be making sure the person that I'm collecting from hears from me at some point. (I used to deliver newspapers and folks would leave payment for me in a pre-arranged place. They knew how much was due and when it was due. But if that payment wasn't there you can bet I was knocking on their door to remind them.)

Again, apples to oranges. When I delivered papers, i went to the house to collect each week. A cruise is a completely different situation.

  2. We have considered getting a cove in the future but after reading these posts about the salt issues, probably not. Also, not fond of the balcony rail type. Have had similar ones on ships in the past and didn't care for them.

How about just taking a small bottle of distilled water with you onto the ship?  Shouldn't be a problem, and I imagine a small bottle would get you through the 9 days.

Carnival does not allow you to bring water on board.

  4. I've used a CPAP for over 15 years and plenty of cruises. The tap water on the ship is just fine (in some cases depending on treatment, it can be on par with distilled water), I've never had an issue with it. Yes, Carnival has distilled water for a fee. I've seen different prices reported but since I don't use it I'm not sure of the current cost. I figure, why pay for something that most of which will end up being poured down the drain at the end of the trip. I'm not dragging it home.

    JMHO/YMMV
