  1. Not to say it doesn't happen, but we have sailed Carnival for most of or cruises and nave never experienced the behavior spoken about. It also happens on other lines as well and even in Disney World. Society overall has changed in my opinion.

  2. Cruised on the MG with my CPAP and yes, I placed it on the floor as I have done on other ships as well. I just replace the air filters often. I can't speak for others, but I haven't experienced any bad odors or aftereffects.

It would be nice to have outlets closer to the bed and a small table, but I just deal with what is there and enjoy my cruise.

  3. I don't usually get involved in post such as this but what the heck. I don't see you being charged a single supplement, you booked for two and were charged for two, but unfortunately, one did not show. She paid for her fare by paying it to you, you've lost nothing and were charged nothing extra (supplement). That person loses their part of the fare. It's not as if you booked for one person.

As I see it you owe her nothing and as she apparently did not follow the insurance rules, they owe her nothing as well, nor does the cruise line. I don't see how anyone on the next cruise could help with the situation either.

  4. Fog is a common issue in Tampa during winter months. Will it be there every day, of course not, but can you predict it way ahead of time, of course not. Sure, like the above poster there will be days without the issue but don't count on it.

When I cruise out of Port Canaveral, I stay at POP Century precruise, take an Uber back to the airport and take the Carnival Cruise bus to Port.  I sail solo also and I think it was about $40 Uber to airport and then $31 one way on Carnival to port.  I could have taken Mears Connect from POP to MCO for $16 instead of Uber.  By taking Uber, I got picked up about 8 am and was able to be on the first bus to port.

She's cruising NCL not Carnival. Does the Carnival bus actually take folks cruising on other lines?

  6. Personally, and that's exactly what I mean, not for anyone else, to each their own, but I would do the hotel near MCO and Cortrans to the port. Not an Uber user very often but I would guess (I could be wrong) that an Uber from Disney to MCO would be cheaper than Disney to Port Canaveral and possibly easier to arrange and also Cortrans would be easy and cheaper. YMMV

I'm pretty sure the OP knows this.   As already said, it is just commonly done.  Not something to get too worked up about, IMO.

Don't count on it. I've seen plenty of interviews where young folk couldn't even locate the US on a world map. And, whose worked up? Just stating a fact.
