Hi @notscb🙂
In Alabama, people 62 years or older, a non-drivers license ID is good for lifetime. People under 62 in Alabama the ID has to be renewed every 8 years.
🍹
That makes a lot more sense. Imagine a 15 year old getting a lifetime photo ID and using it when they are 70??😂🤣

Haven't been on the Sunshine but every other ship I've been on has water for refills.

I don't cruise Carnival for their loyalty program. I honestly don't care. I am Platinum and yes, I enjoy the perks, it's a bonus not a mandate. I cruise Carnival because I get more value for my money and enjoy the ships and Carnival's social interaction with its guests. The perks are nice but I wouldn't stop cruising Carnival if my fanny pack got taken away.
Like the above poster, we don't cruise Carnival for the perks. We do it for the cost. We recently booked a cruise for Dec 2024 out of Tampa on the Legend. The same date, cabin type and itinerary on RCL was over twice the cost of the Carnival cruise. No thanks. I've seen the same types of complaints about RCL as I see here about Carnival so why bother changing when we're happy with Carnival?
JMHO YMMV

Reports say a 30ft boat crashed into the Fischer Island Ferry. One person from the boat is dead.
madthumper was posting as I was writing. Sorry for the double info.

Noticed on the webcam the three ships sitting offshore, was wondering what was happening.

Read the entire post. The OP lives in the Orlando area and is asking fellow Floridians how best to get into Miami without driving all the way into the city. The clue is in the last paragraph.
Just re-read all their posts and at no point does it say they live in Orlando. Their username icon (or whatever you want to call it) says they are in the UK.

What does Orlando have to do with this plan, I don’t understand?
If you are leaving from Miami, why not fly into Miami?I was wondering the same thing.

Our first cruise was on the Majestic. It was an Outer Abaco trip. It got us hooked, and we still are.😁

Not sure what you're seeing, Liberty left hours ago. I personally watched her leave.

But as pyrate13 said, ship's water out of tap works very well. Even 2 people should not work through a whole gallon on a 8 day or shorter cruise. My C-Pap holds around a pint and I usually have to dump some when debarking.
Exactly, why pay $5 for a gallon of water that costs $.88 at Walmart when you're going to dump most of it out at the end of the cruise. Tap water is just fine.

I've used a CPAP on pretty much all our cruises. Ships water works just fine, no need to purchase their distilled water

What John said, he beat me to it.😄 There is uncovered parking lots as well.

Another central FL here but unlike many of the other posters, we drive to Miami the day of without issue. We pay enough to cruise without paying more for a hotel we really don't need. But that's just us.

Is it the same as you'd get from the pizzeria? Not fans of the usual Carnival pizza, we try it every cruise and are on a mission to find something we like "next time". 🙂
We're with you. I know food is subjective but we hate Carnival pizza and there's no way we'd pay any amount for that stuff.

There are several shuttle services that you can arrange from the MCO airport and area hotels. We have used Cortrans and enjoyed their service.
-
Personally, I would get one of the hotels just north of the airport, (there's a bunch and most have a shuttle from the airport) with many restaurant choices nearby. Get one of the shuttle services to the ship in the morning. Just my opinion.

Not trying to get in a p******match but the turn is near US 1. You can follow it clearly on Goggle maps satellite view. I-95 is exit 42 off the 528, the first port exit is exit 54 so that makes 95 about 12 miles or so. US 1 is exit 45. obviously, the exit numbers are not exact miles but close.
-
The rail turns south right around exit 45 off the 528 to US1. The first port exit off 528 is 54 so you're looking at approximately 9 miles or so.
-
As stated above, the ships water is fine in a CPAP, I've used it for many years and cruises.
-
Personally, I found people in Belize City very friendly and have never had an issue there. Now, Montego Bay, whole different story, would never get off the ship there again. Actually, I try to avoid any cruise going there if possible.

What were the San Juan itineraries?
If I remember correctly, ours went to St Thomas, St Kitts St Maarten, St Lucia and Barbados. Not necessarily in that order.

I know they have normal cans. Can't recall ever seeing a longneck bottle but have seen the tall aluminum bottles.
