A night launch, from the ocean side? I'd stay up an look for it. In the dark, you'd see if from hundreds of miles away!

Thanks for the info, everyone! Hopefully they launch before 4 pm. 😁 But since we have no control over the when, we’ll just enjoy the experience.
They usually launch immediately when the launch window opens. I hope you get to see one, they are amazing. And just when you think it's over, the rumble comes since sound travels slower than light. It's quite the experience.

We have done this - start in the afternoon, to get two days included; we have had no difficulty switching users so we both can get access.

Hope everybody is cutting the tips - if they are playing these childish games with their customers!
Who are they to decide what you want to eat and in what order!
Hope many people show them who is the boss!
Why do you want to punish the servers? It's not their fault. Put it in your survey, complain at guest services, write an email to Bailey.

Just my opinion, but I would rather win my own free cruises (I have 9 free casino cruises booked this year so far including one on Odyssey today) than have my money help someone else get free cruises. For people who normally don't go to the casino, it's a fun activity to meet people that cost ~$30, with a chance to get your money back or better. I don't begrudge the organizer getting points for their efforts.

Yeah, we have noticed that as well. I mean, seriously, surely there are cases of keychains and highlighters, right?
On the last trivia on Jewel a few weeks ago, they gave out little bag-in-bags, which are great little purse sized reusable bags that fold into a little bag for storage. Those were nice.

It's nice, for $89. Above that, bless their hearts, let them pay for it. I'll pass.

There's your issue - go on Oasis for half the price so the not-so-great things would be more palatable.
I assume you realize that some of the complaints are known (CSR giving out wrong info about max table size) and avoidable (book a different ship/itinerary if you don't want kids, groups).
If you don't know about religious school holidays, how would you know that late January is going to be overrun with kids? For the average cruiser, that's not something that's common knowledge.

I just wish we were told ahead of time!
Yeah, I don't want to be on a cruise with any large group, I don't care who they are.

I just had the same experience. How bizarre. 🙂

Yeshiva week cruise with venues closed for Kosher dining.
Well, that might account for the number of kids?

That's the message I got on my phone, from the app, about 45 minutes ago. I am not on a cruise.
I got a text from a friend that her son got one - he hasn't been on a cruise for over a year.
I hope they aren't waiting for us. 🤪

Just out of curiosity, who was the group?
And yes, having two venues closed the entire trip would indeed be disappointing.

We had a lot of the Indian dishes were available on Jewel in Scandinavia last fall. Not spicy hot enough, of course, but quite tasty.

What is the latest time you can get off of the ship? Our hotel check in is not until 3pm so we would rather stay on the ship as late as we can.
Latest time is usually 9:30, 9:45. They want the ship empty by 10, and boarding sometimes starts at 10:30 or 11.

So long as people KNOW that your card will be in there, full disclosure, there should be no issue.

We were on Jewel earlier this month, right after the holiday break, and there were so few kids that we could practically count them. We never saw anyone in the arcade. But the previous week we were told there were 800+ kids. If it's an itinerary you like, take it.

We got off on the 14th. They said that the new menus would be 'soon, maybe not next week'. So they might be making the changeover now.

Just got off last week. It's an old ship, but still a nice cruise. Great crew.
We did MTD which was hectic, but they did their best. Cruise director (Cruisin' Susan?) was great. Don't miss the Parade of Nations on the last sea day, 64 countries represented in the crew and they had a lot of fun with it.

I was just curious if people are still wearing their masks anytime while onboard? We just came off the Anthem on Friday and read here that there were about 250 reported Covid cases and those are the ones reported. We are 'extra' seniors and we have adopted the policy to always wear masks while indoors on the ship. There were several times (maybe even more than that) when we seemed to be the only ones wearing masks in entire venues.
Is anyone still masking up.
Cheers
Len
Our Jewel cruise last week there were a dozen or more that I notice who wore masks. No one seemed to be bothering them about it.
There were also a few crew members who chose to be masked.
You do what makes you feel comfortable.

Jewel last week was Caribbean tails, small, but as many as you wanted. Our waiter automatically brought two for each of us.
Everyone loves the Indian food. Why not have an Indian food speciality restaurant?

Perfect. I can do some mild curry, but DH wants to cry when the plate is in front of him.
