Thanks for the info, everyone! Hopefully they launch before 4 pm. 😁 But since we have no control over the when, we’ll just enjoy the experience.

They usually launch immediately when the launch window opens.  I hope you get to see one, they are amazing.  And just when you think it's over, the rumble comes since sound travels slower than light.  It's quite the experience.

Hope everybody is cutting the tips - if they are playing these childish games with their customers!

Who are they to decide what you want to eat and in what order!

Hope many people show them who is the boss!

Why do you want to punish the servers? It's not their fault.   Put it in your survey, complain at guest services, write an email to Bailey.

Just my opinion, but I would rather win my own free cruises (I have 9 free casino cruises booked this year so far including one on Odyssey today) than have my money help someone else get free cruises.

For people who normally don't go to the casino, it's a fun activity to meet people that cost ~$30, with a chance to get your money back or better.  I don't begrudge the organizer getting points for their efforts.

There's your issue - go on Oasis for half the price so the not-so-great things would be more palatable.

I assume you realize that some of the complaints are known (CSR giving out wrong info about max table size) and avoidable (book a different ship/itinerary if you don't want kids, groups).

If you don't know about religious school holidays, how would you know that late January is going to be overrun with kids?  For the average cruiser, that's not something that's common knowledge.

  5. We were on Jewel earlier this month, right after the holiday break, and there were so few kids that we could practically count them. We never saw anyone in the arcade.  But the previous week we were told there were 800+ kids.  If it's an itinerary you like, take it.

I was just curious if people are still wearing their masks anytime while onboard? We just came off the Anthem on Friday and read here that there were about 250 reported Covid cases and those are the ones reported. We are 'extra' seniors and we have adopted the policy to always wear masks while indoors on the ship. There were several times (maybe even more than that) when we seemed to be the only ones wearing masks in entire venues.

    Is anyone still masking up.

    Cheers

    Len

Our Jewel cruise last week there were a dozen or more that I notice who wore masks. No one seemed to be bothering them about it.

There were also a few crew members who chose to be masked.

You do what makes you feel comfortable.
