Thank you everyone for  your replies. True, the excerpts quoted are not the current policies on several fronts. Rules are constantly changing and HOPEFULLY the restrictions will be loosening up. We have an agents who is also receiving different responses, depending on who is on the other end of the call.  It sure makes planning difficult. But……we wait, and hope. 🤞

I suggest you get anything confirming this IN WRITING in case of misunderstandings.

If one person wakes up before the other they can't go sit out on the balcony while the other person sleeps.

True, but I'm very good at sitting quietly on the other side of the room, and this looks like it has more space available for that.  I don't think that would be an issue for us.  Thanks for the reply.

I can't believe they are doing Infinite balconies on this ship. My clients on Celebrity Edge class ships hate them. What is wrong with Royal Caribbean to first put them on Celebrity ships and now Royal. We will stick to the old ships...

What, in specific, do they dislike about the infinite balconies?  I've never actually seen one before.

Good point.  The cruise lines that cater to the newer older generations will probably have to adapt to the tastes of that generation.

We were discussing this on our last cruise, where the music was ballroom dancing and big band.  They're going to have adults who grew up twerking and listening to hip hop (or whatever those young rapscallions call their music today).  🙂

The form is available online or you can request one at guest services if you know you have paid more than your personal allowance.

And that's the issue. The highly trained staff in the shop could easily have mentioned that while they are duty free, items above a certain amount might be taxed when they get off the ship, 'here's the form' or 'Guest Services will have more information'.  It's not that hard, and it saves the hassle for the guests.

The problem is that we don't know that the first cruise that they are releasing next week will actually be the first passenger cruise.

I suspect there will be many disappointed people who book that first sailing thinking it's the inaugural.  Kind of like it sailing from the UK.

    So.....book, or don't book?

That may be the first sailing that is available to be booked but I will bet money that it is not the inaugural.  I fully expect additional sailings to be released prior to that date once they firm up the delivery schedule.  Just a few short weeks ago they were saying she would be ready in October.  They are playing it safe as far as releasing bookings.

But if they are selling it as the Inaugural.....

Was it Silver Airlines?  We made the mistake of flying out of Miami on Silver and although the flight was through United, they did not offer TRA Pre or free bags for United Premier members.  They are number one, ahead of Frontier and American, on airlines I will not fly.

No - Delta!  We were rather surprised, but we will always check from now on.
