Still there. If memory serves me correctly the only specialty you cannot use it for is the Chef's Table.

Day 6 continued
I couldn’t decide between the Dungeness Crab and Shrimp Cake or the Oysters Duet (Chops’ new menu)
If you like oysters give these a try next time. Very good.

Back from our Oasis cruise. There are in fact many vans/shuttles at the port that provide transportation to MIA. No need to pre arrange transportation. Negotiate the price, we saw several folks doing this while we waited for our trans. to FLL.
-
Maybe there are shuttles at the pier like they have at the airports that don't require reservations but I've never heard of them. Re: the above, I just remembered that SAS does not go to MIA. The price $15 that JohninDC posted above for SAS would be from FLL to POM.
Thanks for providing the update. I will try to remember to report back what I find.
-
SAS seems to have the best prices. You need a reservation for these shuttles, or you will end up paying about $80 by taxi.
Are you saying that there are no shuttles waiting at the pier? If so when did that change?

Thanks for posting the cabana information.
-
Thanks for the Cabana info sounds great. Was it worth the cost? I think I read it was in the area of $150. Thanks for your great review and pictures.
-
About $15 per person + tip each way. Check out SAS (www.ridesas.com) and QLS (www.qualitylimoservice.com) -- both are oftne suggested on these boards. Good luck! :)
Thanks. We will probably just wait and not prearrange. My guess is that it should be pretty close in price.

Quick question...I know there are a bunch of shuttles at the port and trans to MIA won't be much of an issue just curious as to price for 2 adults. Thanks.

Puff, I know - and you weren't one of the people who ripped the OP on his simple statement. It's just amazing how some people post such mean spirited things sometimes. The guys was excited about his perks - and at least 2 people picked up on that one thing and belittled him for it. Having been in that position several times - and on either side of it too, no one should judge others like that. No worries.
I agree. Kinda what I was implying without saying it.

Maybe that's because our friends would never think to be so selfish as to encourage us to wait in a longer line. Nor would I EVER want someone with benefits above mine to give theirs up for MY convenience. I mean really now - it's not like you are leaving them behind in a crime ridden alley. You are simply boarding a ship. Everyone will have plenty of time to be together onboard.
No need to get upset. I was simply making a general observation and it was in no way directed towards anyone in particular.
-
As a matter of fact, we've boarded with friends in Galveston many times. If we arrive together as a group, we stay together.
Makes sense to me. Just had not read about anyone doing it. Thanks.
-
Interesting how so many will use their perk to priority board and leave friends behind yet I do not think I have read a post where the priority boarder forgoes the priority process and stays with friends.

I thought I fell asleep at the computer and woke up 4 years later.
You may not have but it appears Rip Van Troll did:eek:

Thanks for bringing this thread back up. Great post.

REALLY!!!??? YAHOO!!!!!!!!
We saw that ship this winter....looked down upon her from the OASIS...she sure was a beauty....cant wait to take her on a short trip out of Tampa.
Sorry but you will have to wait quite some time. She has sailed from Tampa.

On Freedom, Guest Services had a priority line for Diamond and above, along with suite guests. That was very nice!
Also had one on the Adventure in March.

At first I thought no way would I tote a beach umbrella with me but the one pictured looks like it would be easy to carry and store.

While they cannot guarantee your bag will be delivered to you cabin you can bet they can guarantee it takes a much less direct route.
Funny how two luggage tags can fall off the same piece of luggage:rolleyes:.
-
Thanks for the info. Hope to find someone at the pier to share the cost of the cab.

We have done the Mystery Dinner once and that was more than enough. Not something we would do again. Worth a try to see what you think. Remember it is a limited menu but the wine is plentiful.
-
I call it boat head and get it most often when I fly right after getting off the ship. Never seem to get it if I drive or spend an extra night.

FINALLY been bidding on this for a few months, today got the 5-star Caribe Hilton for $95!! We got 2 rooms March 26 before our cruise - it looks awesome!
Hope I have some luck today. Have been striking out everytime I try. Nice price for that property.
-
I've used it before YEARS ago. Like you (seem to) have, I figured out where it was prior to booking. It was a good experience. I actually looked on there prior to bidding (and winning) on priceline.
Can you provide me some info on your PL win? I am contemplating the March 6th cruise that you have listed in your sig. Thanks.
Worst food item you tasted on a cruise??
