Hello Patti,
Maybe I'm thinking too much, but going from this day on with the new structure in place...... example a new cruiser to RCL books a 16 day T/A from FCO to Galveston in a suite will be a Platinum member after the cruise??? 16cp +16cp for suite =32
Mike
It sure would seem that way wouldn't it? Platinum after one cruise or are the doubee credits given only to C&A members? I f I understand it these are C&A benifits so the double should not apply to a first time cruiser. Just my guess. If so it would take two cruises just like you could do it in the past.
-
The way C&A arrived at the points is they took everyone's current number of cruise credits starting with 8..........multiplied by 7 and then added 13.
Just checked my numbers and presto, changeo, bingo. Thanks for the easy solution.

Thanks for the great review and pictures.

....Dagnabit.
I'm gonna ask them for it anyway. This would my 11th credit. My first Diamond cruise:eek:. Guess I'll wait for the Allure to get in the CL.
As a Diamond you will get into the DL the CL is for suite guests and D+ Dagnabit:eek:

Does one get a cruise credit for taking this sailing?
Nope. No credits for this. Charters are not really an RCI cruise just an RCI ship.

For a week in some very upscale resorts we have sat through some "time share" pitches . No is a word they don't like but eventually they got it. A few hours for a great vacation. Hope your experience turns out well.
Nothing ventured nothing gained. I think it is great you are willing to share your experience with this board. Thanks.

When we are heading for a ship where we know specific waitstaff I usually send an email to the concierge asking him/her to request that staff for us. Can this type of request also be done through the email provided? Thanks.

I just don't understand about the name tags. If they ate at Burger King a lot, would they stand in the middle of the lobby wearing a Burger King name tag? :o Get a grip on reality, people aren't that impressed. At least we aren't.
Excellent point and we are with you on the not being impressed.

Just off the Oasis and although we were not in those cabins the music can be heard in the general area. I would make a guess that you may hear the music. Just a guess on my part hopefully and someone can provide a more acurate report.

Crepes in the Compass Deli very good. Gelato worth the couple bucks they charge.

Ken Rush doesn't even make my top 10 but many here seem to love him.
Ditto, only he would not rank in my top 21.

When we cruise with the grandkids we let them go crazy with the decorations. No decorations go up when we cruise alone. Some of the doors we have seen are a bit much.
One thing that has been mentioned and I will mention it again...If you put it up ...take it down. If you are using tape be sure to get all of it off. Don't leave it for the cabin attendent to do.

Patience, my almost flightless avian friend, patience. ;)
Ok, yes. But it's going to take a day or two to get there.
No problem I can wait. Thanks.

Just got the Marriott San Juan Stellaris for 10/10/10 for $111 on first try. I was a little disappointed I didn't get to haggle a little. Oh Well next time I'll start lower.:p
That is a good price for that property. I have only seen it go for $110 so you did ok.

Someone in the Florida departures forum posted how to find what hotel it is on lastminutetravel. Their sister site is touricoholidays, and they use the same code numbers for hotels.
The $88 3.5 star is on last minute travel with this url: http://www.lastminutetravel.com/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=7778&provider=localTgsProvider&SearchResults=1&pg=1
See the hotel ID is 7778.
At Tourico holidays the url is: http://www.touricoholidays.com/en/PageHotelDetail.aspx?hotelId=7778&provider=localTgsProvider, which reveals the hotel as the Howard Johnson Isla Verde.
You can use this information for any last minute travel hotel by copying the hotel ID number into the tourico website.
Unfortunately, I don't have any information about the HoJo Isla Verde, but at least now you know what you're looking at!
I guess I should have been a bit clearer. I saw that post and knew the hotel. I am hoping to find someone who has stayed there and can provide first hand info about the stay. Maybe someone will drop in with some info. Trip Advisor does have some positive reviews but I like the cruise board perspectrive also.

Donna - dsw..Last minute travel is showing a 3.5 star for $88. I have tried to get some feedback on the hotel but have not had any luck.

Can anyone provide me their experience with this site? Looks like the Caribe Hilton at a good price but I know very little about the site. Thanks.
