Are you boarding in Southampton, we sail 15/12 and for some reason everything as been doubled on the planner, I thought it was probably a computer glitch as there are 2 people in the cabin but could be wrong. our sailing on Virtuosa in September doesn’t have the doubles on the planner

Not sure where you are from but I’ve regularly made Skype calls whilst on Sky Princess in the fjords, expected to have a problem but never did and the callls never dropped out
-
I took some pods in a little plastic container so they didn’t split but also have the dr Beckmann magic leaves just for cruises as you can also use them for hand washing sorry but I can’t remember what was in the machine

Our first cruise on independence of the seas called here and we didn’t have the drinks package, my dad who used in spend the winters the other side of the mountains from Cartagena told us to go to Nam Nams, San Miguel was €1 luckily it was a straight route back to the ship, and managed not to go into the underground car park which was where I was used to him parking the car, Cartagena is lovely and caters for all taste’s, nice restaurants, historic areas and shopping

I’d be surprised if they wouldn’t but you may be hit with a rubbish exchange rate, €50 became £40 😂
-
Our voyagers club onboard credit as been converted to £ for our sailing in Sept, when virtuosa is based in uk(summer) it’s £, it changes when home ported in Europe(winter) to €. I just think they want to confuse us before we start on the drinks package 😂

Blue lane if you are from UK at Southampton
Stokie33 replied to Two 2 Tango's topic in Princess Cruises
I do keep up with the news and there’s always been blue and green lanes at Southampton but it never mattered what colour you were, the only difference was if you had priority or not. as a previous person put nothing as really changed for uk passengers leaving from Southampton -

We sailed from Mayflower terminal in June and there were 2 queues once inside the terminal normal and priority boarding for platinum, elite and suites, it was well signed plus the staff are really helpful -
When we got off virtuosa in sept last year they were checking your luggage tags to make sure you’d been called, May be worth asking on board for the first available time, if you need to debark early.
-
They did this on Sky in June and you were able to get photo’s taken whilst participating

Paper copies of port guides still available?

On Sky in June we noticed people getting them from guest services -
When we got off the 1st July they were advertising self disembarkation would start at 7am, but as they always say this depends on clearance so can be earlier or later. We have been delayed getting off previously for a fire alarm in the luggage hall, plus I think the cruise before us was delayed getting off due to customs so 6.30 may be a bit early. We’ve also had it before where they wouldn’t let cars wait to pick people up if the passengers weren’t there they moved them on.

A word of caution about those medallions...

I learnt off here when researching for out first cruise to always check your folio, and yes I’ve had a few erroneous charges. On Sky we link our account and as I’m the lead passenger both my own and my husbands folio show on the app on the same page so easy to check -
It was available on Sky the last 2 weeks of June, sea days only
-
Just checked our uk booking confirmation issued 17/09/2022 for a cruise last oct and it’s mentions on page 5 of 9 one free cruise change as per fantastica booking, don’t know if this helps at all

There are a few machines dotted about near to the photo gallery and possibly the next deck down, if you are on Virtuosa, we did our first cruise on there last September and was dreading it like you but it was quick and easy to do, and there wasn’t a queue when we did it even though one machine was down. it didn’t put us off going on there again this year, we were the same as you not new to cruising but new to MSC, and throughly enjoyed the experience

Think it’s the same area we’ve been in s107 twice the bed faces the front of the ship but is the big window suite, we did both a choppy seacation and a choppy Norwegian fjords in the same cabin with no issues with movement but we don’t get seasick, when we walked past the ocean view they looked quite nice and can remember seats in the window area behind the net curtain

I received 2 emails one was in $ and the other in £ the following day
-
I phoned my cruise specialist the other day and was quoted £700 to change to premier from the old plus, it’s a 14 night cruise. She said we would now be at $15 max per drink but wouldn’t get the juice bar or premier desserts, she also said you can’t upgrade to new plus only premier, obviously I didn’t do it
-
Saturday the hole on the wall opened at 11.00 and they didn’t start priority boarding until 11.20
-
I’ve been doing a search will probably end up in one of the slightly smaller ones on decks 9,10 or 13, as know the ones on deck 12 get booked at launch
-
We are looking at booking one of these cabins, are any alcoholic drinks included or do we need to get the drinks package

FAO: UK/ROI bookings only - drinks package offer

I know what you mean I have to be in work at midday plus accidentally cut the call off after 40 minutes so will give up at some point and let them keep me company tomorrow whilst packing 🤣 -

I’m trying to get through as we leave Sunday so don’t have much hope of either getting through or being allowed to add it as less than 3 days before sailing -
Just checked the email and it had a swab time and test time but as P&o state day before you should be fine testing at 6am
