Good afternoon from a very windy day in Wisconsin. Not 231mph, but it is windy. Just had a 30 second big downpour, now I'm afraid to go for my walk. We've been to Cozumel many times to stay on the island. We always enjoyed it because the beach was so calm compared to other warm destinations. The last several years we've cruised instead of the land trip. We did cruise to Cozumel on our our our trips, it looked so different after covid shutdowns. Good afternoon, it's in the 50's here with rain in the forecast...I want to get in my walk, but I don't want to get wet😏 Not sure about the meal, and we haven't been to the port. Good afternoon. It's sunny and 60 here today. Yesterday was perfect for viewing the eclipse. We had about 90% coverage and it was amazing to watch with my library glasses. They're collecting them back to send to Latin America schools so the children can see the eclipse there next year. I sat with some church friends in their driveway. It didn't seem like it got dark, but people inside said it did. We did notice a drop in the temperature, though. Our 1st cruise was on the Westerdam to Alaska in 2019. We did the land and sea tour! That was amazing. We saw a lot while we were in Denali. We saw a Momma moose with twins just at the entrance to the park, a big grizzly munching in a field, a "nursery" of sheep up on a hill, and then saw their dog sled program. That was a very fun 3 days! We did see the mountain peak from afar, but when we reached the end of the road, the top was in the clouds. Have a good evening, I've been gone all day, and have to leave again shortly for bell choir practice. Good afternoon from another rainy day. The forecast for the eclipse looks a bit more promising now...the clouds are supposed to clear. Haven't been to the port, but our church body has a thriving mission there. If we did go there, I think we'd visit the church. I like potato salad, but usually buy it. Good evening, it's been a busy day...just need to make a comment about Twinkies! Have you ever hear of Chocodiles? During the Covid lockdowns, someone had to shop for dear sis-in-law. She had 3 boxes of chocodiles on her grocery list...they are chocolate covered Twinkies! DD was shopping for her and had to go to 3 stores before she found them! Thanks for all of the sharing and caring here. The blue bonnet pictures are great. Our crocuses are blooming nicely. On my afternoon walk I saw lots of them, along with beautiful daffodils. Happy Friday! After 3 days of rain, we have some sun today. It's in the 40's but very windy. Finally got an outside walk done, but the wind is chilling! Got some eclipse glasses from our library yesterday, but our forecast isn't very promising. Hugs for the Gold Star Spouses. My grandma was a Gold Star Mother. My uncle gave the ultimate sacrifice at a very young age on Christmas Eve in 1944. I don't remember, but my uncle said Grandma always had her star pin on. Thanks for all of the pictures today. Happy Monday and Happy April Fools day. The joke is on us...snow in the forecast for tomorrow! We had a busy weekend here preparing for church and Easter dinner. I'm in the Handbell choir at church, we were there from 7 - noon yesterday. I was tired when I got home! We had a nice celebration dinner. DH did the cheese and cracker tray, it was all gone by the end of the day! Haven't been to the port, and not sure about the wine or the drink. @kazuHappy to hear you have your pet nanny set up, that's a stress of figuring out traveling. Our pet sitter is expecting her 1st grandchild this spring, so that may be a cause some issues for our planning.... @StLouisCruisersYou say it's also Sourdough bread day. I've been thinking about trying to make some, but the directions all look very confusing and difficult. I've talked with 2 people that make it and they've said it's easy once you get started! Good afternoon from a rainy day in Wisconsin. The 5 inches of snow from last week has melted. Our crocuses that were buried are now looking good! Such sad news from Baltimore, prayers for the victims and first responders that are working there. Prayers and good thoughts for all that need them and cheers for those celebrating.

Good afternoon from a chilly Wisconsin. A lot of the snow from the other day has melted, the buried crocuses are now visible again but they look "poorly." I'll take shrimp tacos, who wants to make them for me? I think we're having salmon tonight. Friday night we saw Mary Poppins Jr. at our church school. The kids did a great job! The songs have been in my head all weekend! ☺️ I went to a quilt show yesterday. The quilts were beautiful, but they were all way beyond my ability to do! @ger_77I'd also like more info about your coasters. Last month our quilt group shared "ugly" fabric...we need to make something with it, and then our names will be entered in a drawing for a quilt to be long-armed by our longarmer! @dfishthanks for the recipes, I hope River feels better quickly and nobody else gets it. @JazzyVPrayers that your surgery helps! DH got a kit from amazon before his THR. He also got some slip on shoes, those have been great. The sock-aid was something that helped a lot, especially if you have to wear compression stockings for a while. @RedneckBobHave a wonderful cruise! Happy Friday! We're getting snow here, 6 inches so far. It's supposed to snow for a while yet. We can "goof off" today, nothing to do till later. The plan is to take our DGD's to see Mary Poppins Jr. at our school tonite. Hoping the roads will be ok by then. DH is watching basket ball games again today, I'll be happy when March Madness is done!! We stopped in Falmouth a few years ago. We did get off the ship and wander around the port area. Lots of fun stuff to look at. We sat for a while in the little garden area that was there, and enjoyed the scenery. We were in Jamaica years ago and did Dunns River Falls, when I look at those pictures now I think "oh my!" Our daffodils are blooming and covered with snow today. The area in our front yard is covered with snow, the ones in the back are more sheltered. @JazzyVhoping you hear good things at the Dr. today. Sorry to hear about all of the fire victims...sad. @cat shepardgreat news that your sister can be discharged. Following through with the exercise can be a challenge, I know from experience with family members. @dfishthanks for the recipes, hoping your sister makes it to pick up River. Your weather will be what we have today. Schools didn't get cancelled, and the plows seem to be keeping up with it. The roads were bad this morning, but reports are better now. @Haljo1935What do I know about Down Syndrome? I don't personally know anyone with Down Syndrome, but I follow 3 moms on "The Gram" that have children with DS. One started her page to help other families getting that diagnosis. She said they were so scared, but when they saw their DS at birth, their world changed for the better. He is a blessing to their family, especially his teenage sisters! They all love him so much, and their lives are better now than before! She is so positive about their life and how things are OK, even though he has DS. A family at our church has a little girl with San Filippo syndrome---it's like Alzheimers but in children. She's 4, but already very delayed in her development, but, she it such a pleasure to be around, and she always has a smile on her face. Even with disabilities, they are still special to all around them! I guess that's what I'd say---we are all special in our own way!

Good morning friends. We had a bad start to the day, Cooper woke us up barking at 5 am...let him outside, he had lots of diarrhea, came back in to find more 💩 in his bed. Poor pup. He had a bath, bedding is washed and he seems to be fine now. Today is also Rock Your Socks Day, 3-21, World Down Syndrome Day. "On 21 March, choose some socks that are going to get noticed! They might be mismatched socks or your craziest and most colorful socks, whatever takes your fancy! The idea is to start a conversation, so when people ask you about your socks you can tell them, “I’m wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome”. And then you can tell them everything you want them to know about Down syndrome". Here are my socks! I made these a few years ago with a sock loom. I know how to knit, but scarves are my specialty! Happy Wednesday, it's in the 30's here...the forecast is for wet, heavy snow on Friday. Maybe 3-4 inches. That kind of snow caused lots of power outages here in January. The trees are budding and lots of bulbs are blooming, hoping they survive the snow! Today is my "busy" day. Reading buddies at school this morning, and then back again for sewing with our 6th graders. Last week they finished their pillowcases and today we start on a coin purse. They are all doing a great job! This weekend the school is doing a performance of Mary Poppins Jr. I'm excited to see that! @JazzyVsorry to hear that your pain has returned. hoping your team can find a solution! @dfishThe recipes look good today! @marshhawksorry to hear about your DH's jaw problems, hoping the pain can be controlled. We were on Nieuw Statendam in February, there was a cake day...didn't get any pictures. The one I tried was delicious! There were also special cakes for the Super Bowl party!

He can do activities as tolerated. Cooper is feeling better today after his boosters on Thursday. He's turning 12 at the end of the month and his lab reports are all stable, good news.
