  1. Somehow we got away with no desserts. How did that happen? then the final show of Noise Boys which was unbelievable. The best show I have ever seen on NCL. Hubby loved it too.
  2. A fabulous night tonight. Onda for dinner and WOW. Everything was perfect. Everything. Food, ambiance, staff. Just perfect. I did remember to take pictures. top: ravioli bottom: pocket pasta with ricotta and spinach
  3. One thing I did like a lot about Cagney’s on the Prima is that it seemed spacious. When we ate there on the Bliss all the tables were so close together there was no sense of personal space or privacy.
  4. Yeah it was limp. So I will look forward to a nice firm non-fishy shrimp trio! Have not decided what to get for entree. I am “steaked out” but DH wants filet (the larger one).
  5. Oops sorry. I keep confusing the two. No we had lunch, both times, at Indulge Food Hall. We looked at the menu for the Food Republic and decided against it. while I am sure (based on others’ comments) it is good, the dishes seem to be mostly things we don’t really eat or enjoy. I told the chef that last night when he asked if we eaten there yet, and he looked a bit horrified. Lol. It’s just us, nothing having to do with food quality. There are just some things neither of us love. Like pork, veal, most fish, et al.
  6. We decided to disembark just to walk off some of that food. Took a quick walk around. Then back on. But first stopped to take a picture or two of a certain incredible lady.
  7. My phone has been charging so I did not have it at the Food Republic just now. No pictures, rats. we ate there on embarkation day and I know we loved it but I was very tired at the time so don’t have clear memories. Today we went back. I totally love that place. It truly is brilliant. And as far as we can tell plenty of people love it as there are always people there. being an Indian food foodie, I focused on that. DH loves Indian too so he semi focused on that with me. We had at least five Indian items and there was a lot of moans of delight and mmmms! Coming from our booth as we tucked in to the food. (Hopefully people in the nearby booths knew what that was all about…) after we ate I told DH I needed to tell the chef how great his food is. We went to the Tamara food station asked the server there if we could speak to the chef to tell him how much we enjoyed it. I’m not sure he understood the second part. He went into the back room to get him. The chef came out looking a bit abashed and timid, like he thought someone was going to complain about something, lol. I immediately told him just how delicious his food is and how thrilled we are to be able to have such awesome Indian food on a cruise. He seemed very pleased and said something about a special menu being planned. I certainly hope that will be available before Sunday!
  8. I will say that I have not seen dishes in the hallways. I have walked down non Haven halls the various times I have been lost and none there or the Haven. It’s possible they come out at night but I have not seen them.
  9. Yes ma’am! Will do. Already on my second cruise cocktail, yippee. We are going back to Indulge Food Hall for lunch. Fabulous food there!
  10. The other pics would not load. Trying again. Coming in to Jamaica.
  11. Moving on… it’s beautiful today. A bit overcast but light breeze and sometimes sunny. Quiet on the ship and in the Have sun deck. Here are my morning sunrise, coming into the port at Jamaica pics.
  12. Thank you. I have reread it several times and I feel pretty ok with it. I am part bleeding heart and I don’t feel good knowing the chef and waiter probably got verbally spanked. But I suppose that’s part of the job too. It seemed to me that getting complacent and maybe careless is not what NCL brass wants from their people. Still think at least someone at the next dinner is going to be thinking “there’s that woman that got us in trub!” Not that I am paranoid or anything. Do you think I should order the shrimp again? It was not good and I don’t really want to but DH says I should just to see. What’s your vote??
  13. We were kind of awed too. dH finally understands why I am a CC member. of course now I feel like they are reading all this and I might not have said everything right that they said! :-@
  14. It was so interesting. At first I was embarrassed and said I hope I was not mean! They said I had not been. They know the difference between someone who complains about every little thing and someone who has legitimate concerns and is otherwise fair.
  15. The bump out balcony is really nice. Perfect space for a table and chairs, which it has. We keep forgetting to order room service breakfast! We plan to though. Only thing I wish we had out there was a lounge chair. There are two chairs and the table with four chairs. We could probably request a lounger but have not done so. Maybe not enough room with the other chairs there…
  16. We love mini golf. We are not sure yet if it is opened while in port. Fingers crossed.
  17. We had such a delicious dinner at Hudsons. Apparently the only food porn from it is our desserts. Mine was the one on the top. Chocolate lava cake. I could live on just that. So good. I had the coconut shrimp appetizer. I could live on that too. Can you say mouth watering?! The I had the fish and chips. Nirvana. I have been looking (in vain) for beer battered good mild fish since I moved down to NC. It was perfect. dH had pasta with meatballs and sausage and loved it. And great rolls!!! There’s that bread thing again. now a segue…as we were finishing up our meal (which honestly I wished was not coming to an end) when two gentlemen came to our table. One was the chef and the other was ship wide restaurant manager. We chatted a bit and then the chef (I’m sorry, sir, I can’t remember your name, I meant to ask for your card) said “We understand you had a disappointing dining experience at Cagneys the other night. “ oh , yes… wait— what?? How did you know that?? they lust looked at me expectantly, waiting. A dim bulb went on in my brain. I said “cruise Critic???” “Of course!” He said. important lesson: it’s true: Norwegian does read threads on Cruise Critic. so we had a long talk about what went wrong, how we handled things on our end, and why; how they handled it on their end and why. The Manager really wanted us to try again at Cagneys. I kind of did not want to but then I changed my mind. I understand they want it done right and to know it was done right for us. So we are going on Saturday night for dinner. Our last dinner on the cruise. But no pressure, Cagneys! 🙂 a couple of things I learned. They are not really going to be doing the lids thing in food taken back to the room. They don’t really want that being done and I understood why especially after we talked about it. Example: Someone brings a piece of meat back, forgets to put it in the fridge for a few hours. Then when they do eat it, maybe it is turning bad. In our case they wanted us to ask the butler to take it back to the room. we talked about a lot of stuff. It was a really good conversation. These men are really smart and talented and clearly dedicated to their guests. Both DH and I liked them very much. So it is all good. stay tuned for dinner on Saturday! Ha ha
  18. Just one of those mornings… I was up late having too much fun and champagne. I am a groggy morning person but this morning extra groggy. Made my way to Starbucks to get ungroggy then headed for the Haven sun deck. I have done that every morning. but this time, grogginess won. Almost. I got lost. And I mean lost. Could not find my way here, got all turned around to the point where I was wiping a couple tears away. Jeez. I finally found a staff member to help but he directed me a certain way and I ended up at Vibe. I have no idea how I finally found it. Hopefully most people do better at this than I do. today is Jamaica but we are staying on board. We still want to do or check out a lot of things. Like the mini golf. Who knows where that is but DH will help there. I’m too traumatized from my recent getting lost to want to be the leader there.
  19. We are in an H6. It’s really nice. I will talk about that probably after I get home.
  20. We had dinner at Hudson’s tonight. Wonderful! More on this tomorrow, but we both agree it is a winner. YUM
  21. It’s a little wrinkled and blurry but I think you can read it ok. DH had the pita pocket and the hotdog. I had the chicken Caesar wrap and we shared the tempura veggies. There were also fries and chips that came. Way too much food but really really good.
