    This is deck 11 on the Solstice, Aqua cabin, looking forward and aft.Not much in the way of any obstructions. Eclipse should be the same. My choice would be to stay in the slant.

    There is surely some loss of privacy, but it's certainly not that bad.As long as you don't run right out to the railing after your shower, there is no issue.

    You can see the forward cabins on 6 just above the lifeboats.

    IMO a noise issue in the cabins on deck 9 of any M class places second to the HUUUUUUGE overhang which obliterates any sun from the balcony.

    I think the biggest problem is that they are more concerned with the look instead of the functionality.

    True, but it seems as though with every update of the website they seem to be regressing instead of advancing. It just requires a little more foresight on their part. The cumulative screwups make it hard to fix without starting from scratch.

    You attributed that quote to me, but it was the OPs. That said, I for one, am not a "one brander", but ended up mostly one brand because of the product, marketing be damned.

    I have only ever paid the deposit amount for one person when sailing solo.

    You can also walk on deck4 - along the port side, cross the ship in front of the theatre entrance, then back along the starboard side to the back and across in front of the dining room, rinse & repeat.
