  1. Some trim levels of the Subaru Outback come with a full-size spare, and those that don't can fit one in place of the donut spare they come with.
  2. 2 shows a night, 2 nights each. The first show for each was 7:30, the second was 10:30, on my cruise in 2019.
  3. This was the Joy. Still lots of Asian influence in the decor in places.
  4. Directly from the FAQ I linked - On Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Joy, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, pipe smoking and vapor smoking devices are permitted at Spice H2O, starboard side
  5. Smoking - https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/smoking Vibe - I see an elevator on the deck plans. There are also numerous ship tours on YouTube, I'm sure many of them would have a tour of the venue where you can see the access...
  6. They did, still the only ship NCL owns that was built by that yard. and remove The Haven?! Sacrilege! They won't do that, but it certainly does look like an afterthought. Bliss, Joy and Encore look MUCH more integrated into the design. As for Icon (to keep this somewhat on topic) - those complaining about the bow, that's just the "new age" design, a lot of the new ships have that bow design. The Beluga forehead on the other hand...
  7. https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#what-is-onboard-service-charge Very last line is the one of interest to you, though I suggest also reading the entire first paragraph as well - the DSC (DISCRETIONARY Service charge) covers people beyond those you interact with. There's also this entry in the FAQ - https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#what-about-gratuities
  8. If you ever book a standard balcony on the Joy, be aware that some of the cabins are mis-marked as 'Privasea' but are really just standard balcony cabins...
  9. Actually, at least on the Bliss and Joy, I seem to recall that after around 6 PM Spice is open to ALL on board. It's only adults-only during the day.
  10. The ship will need to get far enough out to sea to allow the casino to open and the bars to serve drinks without charging tax. IF you can get a cellular signal it may not be strong or fast.
  11. Re-read the previous posts in the thread. I've been on the Bliss 2x, there's no dance floor in that venue, and the only music provided (if any) would be Muzak-type background music...
  12. When using your dining credit - no, except in the case where the item you want to order carries an up-charge.
  13. You sign in to open the internet to that device. Use whatever apps you want, except those that stream videos.
  14. There's a difference between pre-paid gratuities and the free-at-sea package gratuities. In your case I think laws in the UK require that the FAS grats be included in the cruise fare and not a separate line-item as we have here in the US. The pre-paid grats you speak of are the daily DSC (Discretionary Service Charge) that can be billed to the room each day and paid when your account closes at the end of the cruise OR pre-paid as you've done.
  15. Be mindful that the OP appears to be from the UK - I seem to recall that gratuities may be included as part of the fare there, not called out as a separate line-item.
  16. LOTS of discussion here on how this all works (it comes up weekly at least). The short - make the reservation, show up, order, eat, leave. There are SOME items at some a-la-carte venues that are extra-cost, and those are specifically called out on the menu. The only limitation is that you can only get one entree. Drinks - the base free-at-sea package only allows drinks up to $15, any cost for the drink beyond that is chargeable, in addition to gratuity for that portion of the drink. I suggest you familiarize yourself with the T&C's of the promotions, that's where everything is detailed - https://www.ncl.com/about/terms-and-conditions/promotions
  17. Not really. Here are a couple pics (but you can also look up ship tours on YouTube and see more comprehensive 'coverage' of the entire lounge)
  18. It would be a waste having a piano in there (the OL on the Bliss has a piano) if they didn't have some kind of music entertainment in there at times...
  19. To be fair - the T&C's DO say they can book to/from alternate airports, though that does indicate a 60 mile radius for the variance. The airport in Quebec City isn't exactly a hub/major airport, flights to get there are going to be limited and 3,000 people are trying to get there for a cruise. There is both train and bus service between Montreal and Quebec City, my parents went in the other direction and took the train to Montreal from Quebec City then on down to home (we're only 3.5 hours away from Montreal by car and have a couple Amtrak stations nearby).
  20. A little cultural difference here, and I think it's been explained earlier in the thread - in the US we refer to long pants as simply "pants" and short pants as simply "shorts". So, to a US person saying that "pants are required" indicates to us to wear long pants as other cultures might call them.
  21. Regarding the Manhattan Room - I think the Bliss and Joy were the first ships without live music and a dance floor in the room. I would say it applies to all of the BA+ ships but Escape has at least the dance floor based on what I'm seeing on the page for that ship.
  22. They won't be, unless you intended to indicate that your request to have flights booked wasn't even on the invoice. Flights don't get booked until 30-45 days before the cruise. Bolded - we're not NCL, it's not OUR department. Regarding the rest - if you used the BOGO fares (you don't say but it seems as though this is the case) once the flights are booked you're locked in, they won't do anything. If you had a concern about that you should have called before the 75 day deadline (per the T&C's of the promotion) to confirm your booking had deviations included.
  23. I couldn't watch the World Series (free to ANYONE, even with an OTA antenna if in range of a broadcast station) in 2019 and you expect them to be showing stuff that costs cable customers extra? LOL You'd be better off paying for a day of streaming internet and finding a way to stream it in your room.
  24. I think as long as they're shoes, not sandals, he'll be fine.
  25. Is there a reason you require the Walgreens test rather than using the at-home proctored kits that can be bought online (or the free government tests that can be proctored for a $20 fee)?
