  1. If I don't have a drink package, do I need to pay for the mimosas and bellinis at the elite breakfast?
  2. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. My adult daughter and I are traveling together, and sharing a cabin. I am Elite, and she has never been on Celebrity. Will the benefits I have extend to her? Specifically the 5-7 happy hour and breakfast for Elite and above? Thank you!
  3. Yes, it was simple and MSC matched my status. We sailed MSC right after Covid and the ship was very empty. Not sure I would sail them again if they were at full capacity.
  4. Yes it was, we had the all in package ($79 prior to sailing). Not all bars had it though. We found it at the outside bar, and we were able to get it when we ordered a drink in Amphora.
  5. Just off the Star Breeze today and they had Patron Silver.
  6. I just got off the Star Breeze and ladies did wear capris in the dining room. I saw sundresses and pants, also short skirts for ladies. Nothing formal at all. I never once needed a sweater in the dining room, the ship was always warm..
  7. Thank you! I am a bit surprised about the levis and cowboy hats, LOL. Glad you had a wonderful time, and it's nice to hear that the dining room seemed happy, and relaxed. I think packing comfortable is the key it sounds like. Thank you!
  8. I had never heard of the Humboldt current, thank you for that information!
  9. Thank you! I have several short skirts that I am bringing too, glad to hear those will be okay.
  10. Hi, I searched the boards and could not find an answer to the question if ladies could wear capri pants to dinner. The Windstar dress code does not list them as a no, or a yes, only slacks are mentioned for pants. For those that have been on Windstar have you seen ladies wear capri pants for dinner? (Below knee capris, dressed up with nice sandals, top, etc). This is my first Windstar Cruise. I am on the Star Breeze in a few weeks, crossing from San Diego to Tahiti. There will be 13 sea days. Has anyone done this, and if so, was the crossing warm, and was it pleasant enough to spend the sea days outside and at the pool? Thank you all for your help!
  11. I am only assuming they have, that is why I was asking. Please don't group me with the average "US Tourist". I am a world traveler that would just like to know what the Windstar staff expects, or appreciates. I have never sailed Windstar, that is why I am asking. I have traveled over 20+ times to Japan, which is a non-tipping culture. It is beautiful what the Japanese people do, such pride when they serve others, tipping would be such an offense.
  12. Hi, I know this thread is old, but it is the only one I could find about tipping extra to staff. We have never been on Windstar, but on other cruise lines we typically would give a bit extra to the staff that helped make our cruise special. From reading this thread that appears to be what others do too. I assume then the staff must expect it? I was wondering about Room Service though. Do you typically tip the person that brings you your room service food? What about if it's just coffee in the morning? Thank you in advance, we sail in a few weeks.
  13. Thank you for your honesty. I'll be packing the N95's and masking onboard I guess. Thank you!
  14. Sorry to hear about that ggraphix. I am boarding the Breeze in a few weeks. Can you tell me if the crew wore masks inside and if any passengers were wearing masks? Just curious, did you and your wife wear masks inside? Just trying to gauge what to expect when we board in a few weeks. Feel better and sorry that you are dealing with covid.
  15. Thank you so much for the information! I am going to add playing cards to our packing list. 🙂
  16. Yes, I know that Netflix and Hulu are streaming devices, I have them here at home. Thanks for advice to "get out of my cabin and socialize". After 25+ cruises (mostly Azamara and Celebrity), and having done multiple transpacific and transatlantic cruises, I can tell you that I know how to do sea days quite well. 🙂 I am not asking myself "what will we do", I am only questioning what the Windstar Representative told me. Windstar does not have the entertainment like Azamara and Celebrity does. That was why I was questioning the TV, and movies. First time Windstar cruiser here. After-all, we might want the late night room service popcorn with a good old movie. 🙂
  17. Thank you so much Rob, this helps a lot!! I will load up the Kindle with a lot of books. Thank you again!
  18. Hi, A Windstar representative told us that the new tv's on the yacht class ships now have netflix and hulu. Does anyone know this to be true? If so, do we just sign into our account for Netflix and Hulu on the tv? We are doing a 13 day transpacific and I even wonder if Hulu and Netflix would work, as in my countries they are not allowed. The representative also said the DVD players in each room work, but the DVD's in the library have scratches and don't play well?? Just trying to figure out our entertainment for 13 sea days. Thank you all!
  19. I found this on youtube, a video someone took of their May 2022 Star Breeze cruise in Alaska. They did a nice job showing the inside of the ship and the food options.
  20. I just got off the phone with Azamara, the representative was very short with me and said it was just onboard credit that could be used for anything. I said "so it must be an error on the payment summary page?", he didn't respond. But I had him repeat it several times and he said it can be used for anything on the ship. I'll have my travel agent call tomorrow and see if he gets the same answer.
  21. I have read through this thread and I am interested in finding out the answer too. I am about ready to book the Feb 2023 transatlantic, and the final confirmation page says "FLASH OBC - $1000 Shore Excursion Credit". But when I got back to the main homepage and read all the terms and conditions, it just says onboard credit. I am very confused. I will try to reach out to my travel agent tomorrow to see if we can get an answer. There is no way we can spend $1000 for one port stop (Bermuda) on a transatlantic.
