Thanks Blag. We are in a continent suite and are adventurer only. To my calculations, we would benefit by buying the package. If we didn’t, I would want Ultimate drinks although DH wouldn’t and we would need one Wi-Fi package. I could easily use the Spa value! As far as the difference in the price of the ultimate drinks package, that equates to virtually an extra day so it feels very unfair.

Thanks for this. I have also been looking for about 3 weeks now and had been puzzled why there was such a difference. The problem with waiting to board is that the excursions I want may have gone. The numbers available have dwindled considerably. So, by the time we board, there could be little point in having $700 excursion credit and as it’s South Africa, it’s not like you can get out and have a stroll around a lovely harbour town or similar! Very frustrating. Thank you.

Hi I am looking at the prices for options on a booked cruise on my booking on Azamara’s website. It’s a 13 night trip and the Ultimate drink package is £263.74. I thought it was $23.99 per day which would equal £242.59. The Experience More Indulgence package on the website is $1499 but to book on my booking it is £1267.12. Based on exchange rates, it should be around £1165. I want to buy a package but am reluctant too based on this. Any ideas please. Thanks.

We both really like Tuborg tonic which you find in Greece. We have never had Royal Club but really dislike Schweppes. It’s such a shame because it’s not easy to carry Fevertree in your hold luggage to take with you either!

My husband doesn’t drink alcohol at all. If he isn’t drinking coffee, his only vices are San Pelegríno or Fevertree Mediterranean tonic neither of which appear to be available. I do think non-drinkers are poorly catered for.

I’m starting to plan for Xmas as we will be spending nearly a month in total, so I do need to budget and also make sure we have a mix of activities.

Thanks UKtog, hence why I said usually! We all know changes can happen but things are scheduled for certain nights and knowing can make a difference on what excursion you might chose to take. For instance, I fancy high tea at the Oyster Box in Durban but, I don’t want to book it and pig out only to find its White Night on the same night!

It’s a turn off for me too. I don’t want to bother our TA until I know there is something I prefer. I was thinking of upgrading to a continental suite but even when you go through the whole thing putting your details in, etc, it won’t let you choose for yourself. I think they will lose business with people not being prepared to jump more hoops. Stupid.

You used to be able to see what cabins are still available. I can’t see how you can do this now. Anyone know please?

Thanks both. What I don’t want is to be worrying throughout the cruise as to whether we would be allowed. The river cruise is way too expensive not to turn up for and only 2 nights, so missing 1 night would be half of the experience. Not worth it, It’s a shame as we have a deposit on this carried over from 2020. Cest la vie …..

Hello To update on this. The answer came back that we can only depart between normal times ie 8 and 10. Such a shame and has stopped us even getting the later 9.45 service to Victoria Falls. Thanks for the help.
