  1. No, normally in the NCL ones I have attended, you don't get anything, although years ago, our meet and greet leader managed to get us a bridge tour, but we were on one of the smallest ships, I think NCL Crown if I recall. But I know that they told us this was not the norm. This meeting isn't to meet the officers of the ship. It is more for cruisecritic folks that are in the roll call to meet each other after talking with each other online and making friends for awhile before the sailing. Sometimes a cc member may organize something like small gift exchange or something. It all depends on how active your roll call is. If officers come, they say hi and maybe answer a few questions, and some will leave like business cards or something, so if you have an issue/complaint, you have a way to provide feedback while on the ship so they can try and address while you are still sailing. RCCL ones are similar, although sometimes they may do small drawing for little knic knack or something, as those are organized by RCCL.
  2. I was actually curious if anyone had asked or had this. I currently have a 10% coupon already in my account. If booking on ship, would that stack with whatever the ship is offering? Wondering, as my coupon expires about a week after we come back from the cruise. Thanks
  3. LOL I know. But I can't change the booking. I would have booked it with one of us in each cabin, but my parents actually don't know my brother is coming. It's a surprise. He moved across country a few months ago. πŸ™‚
  4. Hi, My brother and I are both platinum and from my understanding, we would only get one set of dinner vouchers. I was wondering, are these tied by account? For example, we are traveling w/ my parents in a diff cabin who are not platinum. Am I able to say take one of the coupons and take my mom and my brother takes my dad? Or is it I need to use these coupons with my brother only? Thanks, Debbie
  5. Yes, i booked after final payment time and received the email I think a few days later. A banner also showed up on the ncl site when I logged into my acct.
  6. I didn't book through the portal. My cruise agent is a travel agent is an american express travel rep. However, I do have the free at sea perks too.
  7. BTW, I asked my TA. He said the Amex CPP perks is based on the original booking category, not the upgraded one.
  8. Depends on what you find worth it. Its got an annual fee of almost $700. But if you have a corporate amex card, they have a program shere its reduced a little. The $200 hotel credit mentioned above is not for just any hotel, its for what Amex qualifies as hotels in their Fine & Regular Hotel collection. You get $20/month to apply towards a select few, like Disney bundle, but not Netflix. I have it using audible.com right now. You also get monthly uber credits of $15, where Dec is I think it was like $35. That said, sometimes you also get random amex offers that you can add that can save some money. LOL it came too late to help me as it was after my final payment date, but I currently have an offer where if I spend $500 on NCL reservations, I will get $125 statement credit back. They do it randomly sometimes w/ the other cruiselines as well.
  9. I don't know the answer to your first question, as this is my first time using my amex card and the cpp. But my TA had me already submit my paperwork for the shareholder benefit So that is in my acct already. And he said that my amex benefits will be put in about a week before the cruise, so I assume both can be used.
  10. I actually don't know why expectation is for something to show under the Onboard Credit heading. All the other values on the screen shot shown here are showing to the right of their labels. So it shows nothing. I think it could have been more obvious to show $0. But my guess is that its reading from a database or something and the value on your record for OBC field is probably like null, instead of a 0, so it had nothing to display on the UI. But I actually have 5 fields like this on an app that I have. So maybe I am used to something like this in the page
  11. I think we've fit a lot more. lol my brother tends to bring a roll of duct tape, and we just wrap it around to make sure it doesn't rip. We rolled the clothes up like we rolled to compress in the suitcase πŸ˜„
  12. We can’t remember. Do they always split the credit between the 2 passengers. I own the stock in my own acct but they ended up giving me $50 and my brother the other $50
  13. Just curious, do the min bids change as you get closer to sail date? Or are they just different by sailing? e.g. If I were to bid from inside to balcony it says min is $100pp, but meanwhile I saw above someone bid $80. Thx
  14. Hi, This is first time I will be traveling solo in my cabin. So i was wondering, if I put in a bid for say $50 pp... on the confirm page that it wants me to review, it says double occupancy, and lists it as $100. Does that mean I have to pay $100 instead of $50, if they take my bid? Thx, Debbie
