  1. One exception, the Queen Mary II has a kennel, so doggie bags are appropriate.
  2. That 32 oz Kings cut in Polo is absurdly large.
  3. It means that rocking you spoke of should not get much worse (if at all) and the return trip back to Ushuaia should be pretty good too.
  4. If you're scheduled for crossing back on the 4th and 5th you should be good. Ushuaia is in protected waters, once you round the Horn you're golden.
  5. It's automated leaving the garage, you pay the attendant in the booth as you enter.
  6. The laundry issue deserves a thread of its own 😇. Checking Marina's position, sea conditions should remain steady for your Drake crossing on the way down. Looks like 2-3 meter waves, easy peasy. Don't ask about the northbound return unless you REALLY want to know.
  7. Don't harsh my buzz. They just need to hang in there for another month, they're plucky little birds.
  8. Yes, book an Owners suite. It's a surefire method.
  9. I found it easy, and the meaning of the word "generally" seems to evade you, look it up (hint: it doesn't mean always).
  10. Generally terminal J. The parking is right across the street and was $22/day last January. It's a multi-story parking garage, very convenient. I believe if you have handicap plates it's free.
  11. The claim was for "being charged for answering questions" and she just stated this was a two-person agency, not an online booking engine.
  12. There is no travel agency in the US that will charge you for getting answers. That's nonsensical.
  13. Enjoy the penguins, glad the weather cooperated.
  14. You think the Bunker fuel market doesn't have well established pricing history? Really? If the passenger contract references a fuel that isn't even used to justify a fuel surcharge, I'd find that problematic.
  15. West Texas Crude by the barrel is a poor measure of fuel cost, since these ships burn bunker fuel by the ton.
  16. I'm comfortable with this practice and I don't think they need to break them out. I pay the fare, I take the cruise, I don't obsess about the company's overhead. It's irrelevant to me.
  17. Unlike many mainstream lines, Oceania doesn't break out port fees or taxes as separate charges. This is literally much ado about nothing. Perhaps O is not a good fit for you.
  18. No worries, all this quoting of other posts can sometimes be a bit confusing.
  19. Thank you, I would never disparage anyone who enjoys good food and wine. My post was exactly to your point, we each have priorities and they are all equally valid for each of us.
  20. You read an awful lot into my post that wasn't there, especially the claim that I'm insulting anyone. Were you intending to quote someone else?
  21. You can say value and convenience are two different things, but it completely misses the point that many people find value in convenience. If you want to drink your .65 cent beer and $2.00 wine and that makes you happy, go for it, but many of us go on a vacation to relax and enjoy, not to squeeze every penny. And you can claim all you want about SM, but it saved me a significant amount of real money, in fact enough to buy thousands of .65 cent beers and $2.00 bottles of wine without wasting my shore time in convenience stores. We all have different priorities, value different aspects of travel and have different budgets, you may have the right answer for you, but at least acknowledge it isn't for everyone.
