We're doing exactly that in Houston over Christmas. We've done it in ft. Lauderdale, too.
-
We are taking four of them in January and February. Two back to backs.
We are Diamond level with the Caesar's chain. My hubby is actually Diamond Level 2. He gets most of the offers, me not so many.
The last one we booked cost us $300 each person to upgrade to a balcony. Definitely worth it to us.

I've come to the conclusion the cabin stewards have seen just about everything.
-
I'm sure you could substitute coffee. Its not like it is a prepackaged deal.
-
Either we didn't get invited or there were too few or maybe too many CAS guests, but we didn't see anything about a party on our most recent cruise. We've gone to them in the past and enjoyed the hot 'd'oeuvres greatly.
-
I'm not sure the original question was answered.
Of you book yourself though NCL or a TA, your Total Rewards status doesn't get you anything on board.
If you use a "free" NCL cruise awarded by a Caesar's casino, you are considered a CAS guest and you can use the CAS check in line and get a free drink card.
If you book directly through CAS, free or discounted, you are obviously a CAS guest and are treated as such.

Like I said, it was many years ago. I even thought at the time they just wanted to sell us flowers on board.
-
I just call room service and specify scones with the normal toppings and hot tea. Don't just say scones and tea. A couple times they thought I meant the whole thing when I just said tea.
-
Yes, they bring way too much food. I really only want the scones, so we just order them and tea. It is really nice to sit on your balcony and enjoy them.

Even experienced people who go on a snorkel trip need to be cautious. I've been on them dozens of times and am an above average swimmer. But once in St. Thomas I got carried away by a current in very calm waters. My husband had to help me get back to the boat and we were both just about ready to call for help before we finally made it.

I bought some in Papeete because I love tropical flowers and I can't get them where I live. I was able to enjoy them in my cabin for 8 sea days before I had to get off the ship. :o
This has been many years ago, but we saw some beautiful arrangements at a Farmer's Market type place near where the ship was docked in Papeete. I really wanted some but was hesitant. They were ridiculously cheap, too. But when I asked at the gangplank when we boarded, they said they weren't allowed because they we're afraid you would bring bugs on board.

I usually get my room comped by CAS...drink card....the casino used to send candy..or cookies or both to your room.....if the host was good they would usually send you to dinner...and what comes off your bill at the end is usually at the descretion of the host....I have gotten as much as 375.00 off my bill and as little as 25.00...no way of telling......the practice of swiping your card is recent...I guess they want to keep track of how much their guests drink......
We don't gamble all that much on cruise ships so we usually don't catch the eye of a host. We did get $25 off our bill this time though. Nothing else except the drink card.
-
past two cruises I havent gotten anything.......
I'm not sure what defines a CAS guest.
We get "free" cruises from various Caesar's chain hotels. We always get the free drink card. We got a box of Godiva Chocolate but without a note I'm not really sure why. We we're Gold level at the time.

I agree that it is sad the systems aren't linked. I was amazed that the host on the Jewel said he would have to email the Epic and it would take 24 hours for the points to show up.
-
I think the poster was suggesting barricading the door.
-
Really dumb question, but since we almost always just travel with just the two of us, I honestly don't know the answer.
Can you order a cab that will hold five people and luggage?
-
Wow. Just the laundry and internet we use is way more than $100.
-
I haven't really thought much about this before, but we have had them walk in on us before. Sometimes you are a bit ... err ... preoccupied and might not hear a knock.
On some ships opening the bathroom door creates both a visual and physical barrier that could be overcome in the case of an emergency.

Unfortunate in this day and age, touching a child opens you up to being accused of being a pedophile.

Aruba is the only "foreign" place we ever rented a car. It was quite a few years ago, but we felt perfectly safe driving everywhere.
-
I'm curious, too. We will be staying before and after at a nearby hotel but they don't have a shuttle to the port. We are trying to decide if it would be cheaper to take the hotel shuttle back to the airport or go by taxi to the port.

This has nothing to do with manners. It has everything to do with custom. If you're referring to Americans, we eat with whatever hand is available at the time. I'm left-handed and I assure you that you do not want to sit next to me while I attempt to hold a folk in my right hand. My meal will be all over you. :)
That was my point. It is our custom and has nothing to do with manners.
I guess I should amend this to say United States Instead of North Americans or just Americans.
-
It is very rare to see a North American who does not use their strong hand for their fork.

Being the board's worst worry wart, I'm stressing about taking our granddaughter and her parents on a cruise over Christmas on this ship.

Since we would gamble anyway, this is a nice perk, IMNSHO.
