Didn't the fleetwide distribution begin some time ago? I remember thinking this way of handing suggested daily tips was wrong when I first heard about. I'm thinking this was some years ago. Is my old brain playing tricks on me? -
You are free to drop by the purser’s desk as often as you wish and hand them whatever amount of money that makes you feel like you are helping g restore Princess to profitability. JP will surely send you a personal note of appreciation. 😃

Sure. Anything that makes a provider a TON of money is accompanied by a HARD SELL. With each new "see what you get now" announcement, it's a clear indication that Princess has decided Plus and Premier are truly CASH COWS that must be promoted to the hilt. Got it now?

“Before final payment” is typically used to mean close to final payment. Now you are talking about tying up and rendering multiple cabins totally useless to others who may be interested in booking for “only two weeks”. Nice.
