I think some leg pulling is going on here.

Being "alone" on the ships is great. No lines anywhere, you can get the best seat in the house at the buffet. The pools are not crowded. The bars are open and there is plenty of seating. One thing I like at Cabo is how the ship (at anchor) drifts back and forth, changing the view by the hour. Besides, Cabo has gotten so touristy and crowded, it's not a "real" Mexican port experience anymore.

I tend to agree with you. I won't be able to do a reservation until next week, but I don't think my cruise will be ruined if I have to eat a little later and also share a table. Reading all these posts about reservations hierarchy is kind of off-putting (to me.)

American Thanksgiving is also just one day. Schools are not in session for only two days during Thanksgiving week, not the entire week. Any children on that cruise may have been playing hookie. As a dual-citizen, I celebrate both Canadian and American Thanksgiving, and I will be on a HAL ship this November for another Thanksgiving cruise. I have done a few, and I don't remember excess children. People's experiences differ, I guess.

Do the wheels pivot sideways? If not, that means picking up the walker and then setting it down multiple times while shuffling sideways. Not ideal.

I think it's a function of time of day. Lunch lines are always longer for food in my experience. People freshly back from excursions can cause food lines, too. Since the advent of the app, I have taken to ordering my latte on the app and having it brought to me while I sit near the IC (if I can find a table!) I haven't tried that with the food, though.

There are worse places to be stuck than Skagway. 🙂 I hope the rest of the cruise is perfect!

You are an excellent grandparent! I agree that calling your carrier first is the best plan. You don't want to be surprised by huge phone bills. One thing to keep in mind is that the ship WiFi is not 100% reliable (where's that satelite?) especially when out at sea.

You will love the Coral. Snag a good seat in the buffet for great views.

We had a great situation on one cruise where a group of four always managed to get seated at the same table for ten (at the same time every night) even though it was open seating. We caught on early and just told the host "we're with them." The other four seats rotated but often the same couples would show up. We had a grand time. It was a long cruise (20 plus days) on Kdam (I think.)

This. If the product was so bad, no one would be taking the cruise. Why don't you see if you can find a positive review from the same cruise?

The OP here was confused.

I know nothing about NCL, but was the take over of the hot tub done as an official kids' camp activity? Were the camp directors there with them? Your poor husband might end up in the brig if he crashes a sanctioned kid camp event!
