We are planning to arrive a day early..our flight was set to depart 9/1 arriving the morning of 9/2 for a 9/3 departure on the Edge…I also thought that if the airline cancels my flight they would simply rebook me on another one so I first called United to see if it was actually canceled since I never got notice of it..the first leg of the flight just dropped off my United account…they were ready to rebook it until they saw I booked through a travel agent and they then said they need to do it…over a month later and no resolution…FBC are claiming they are waiting to hear back from the airline…

Hoping I get some luck with FBC…I noticed over a month ago that the first leg of my flight to Rome was canceled…I called immediately and they said it could take up to a month for new flights…which I thought was excessive…we are past that now and I am scheduled to fly a month from today…and still no flights…spent three hours on hold today with them and was hung up on twice….I hope I get to go on my cruise..as each day goes by I see less and less seats available on the alternate flights I need…ugh!!!!

I am scheduled to sail on the 9/3 Edge sailing out of Rome. Over a month ago my United outbound flight booked through flights by Celebrity was canceled. They said it would take up to 30 days to reschedule. It is now past that. I depart 9/1, so one month from today. I have tried calling them twice today for an update. The first call I waited 50 minutes for a person. I gave him my booking number and then I got the audio of how great Celebrity is again and then I got hung up on. I tried again…after another 50 minutes I thought I was getting a person but it just went silent so after another 10 minutes I hung up…anyone have any luck getting through to them today?

So just curious…what staterooms are currently being used for Covid positive passengers on the Edge…we are scheduled to sail in September from Rome to Greece.

Consider yourself fortunate. My flight to Rome from New York was canceled over a month ago. I still don’t have new flights and I leave 9/1.

Your lucky Delta is talking with you. I am on the 9/3 Edge cruise out of Rome. I noticed the first leg of my journey was missing from my United Ap on 6/29..I immediately called United to see if it was canceled…it was but they said they could not rebook me ..I needed to deal with Flights by Celebrity and I had been ticketed at that point.. when I called Flights by Celebrity they said I would take up to 30 days to get new flights…I thought that was excessive and was not pleased…had my Travel Agent get involved and it has gone nowhere… Yesterday was 30 days since I called and still no flights for my cruise…now my travel agent says it won’t be addressed until 30 days before my flight which is 9/1…

That’s the mindset I am going with… seems the most reasonable..I am usually a terrible over-packer ..so this should be an interesting experiment..

So funny…I was just discussing this with my friend…Although I still need Flights by Celebrity to get me flights since United canceled them a month ago… We bought new carryons and I’m starting to acquire travel size toiletries… We are on the Edge on September 3rd…so hoping I can fit enough clothes and I am Elite so I have a free bags of laundry…I have been watching a lot of You tube videos for packing hints.

Good luck with everything…so much of the fun has been sucked out of planning travel

Omg..the cable car line was 2 hours long..that is very concerning… We are booked on a private tour on September 5th. We are on the Edge. It looks like there are 4 ships in total..we don’t get there until noon …according to CruiseMapper at least the other two ships arrive in the morning…hopefully that helps .. I told the tour company 1:30..maybe I need to push it back

I have done that…they originally told me it would take 30 days…then for some reason my TA called and requested a different flight since the one I requested departed from a different airport and they said I would be charged since it is a change..when my TA called it apparently started my clock over again and it could be another 14 days…I finished my on-line check-in hopefully I can get some good karma…

Thanks…I would love to be able to book the flights on my own…but we are flying business …I had back surgery and I don’t think I could handle economy anymore and we bought these tickets when they came out …the fares are probably four times what they were when we booked on Flights by Celebrity and probably triple what the airlines had them for.. I spoke to two different Celebrity associates they both said that it is 2 days to test and the Ap is wrong..I have 4 proctored tests…bought them when I thought we needed them to fly back so I think we are good…that is if we ever get flights…

Anyone use Rome cabs for a transfer from port to fco with a late departure time…we have a 3:00 departure…not sure what time we should be picked up at the port and if there is somewhere to visit before drop off at the airport

Thanks for the feedback…called Celebrity and they said to disregard the Ap…and it is 2 days.. The flight situation continues to be more complicated…they said in could be another couple weeks until ticketing will get to my case…ugh!!!!!

I am scheduled to sail on the Edge on 9/3…that is if Flights by Celebrity gets me a new flight after United canceled it over a month ago…trying to be optimistic and went to do the online check in where I was dismayed to see that it says to test one day prior to boarding…it also says that on the health section of the AP…so I then went to Celebrity’s website and it says 2 days….can’t they get their act together…this is a big deal…I was planning to test before I leave the US…anyone with first hand knowledge of what has going on would be greatly appreciated.

No such thing as a stress free trip anymore it seems… I’m just concerned they are going to come back asking for more money since the flight went up and they can’t get the price protection from the airline since they booked at a low fare and flights are packed…

Yes it is very frustrating…when is your cruise? We are traveling with friends who live somewhere else..so far their flights are alright…I would hate to have to cancel if Celebrity doesn’t find us flights…

I’m still waiting for new flights..I am flying to Rome for my 9/3 Edge cruise. On 6/29 I noticed my flight from JFK to Zhr was missing from my United Ap ..the connection from Rome is still there(obviously does me no good) Both myself and my travel agent got no notice of this cancellation from flights by Celebrity or the airline. I thought this should be simple the flight was canceled I would be rebooked on another flight… No flights by Celebrity told me it can take up to a month…and now they are saying it can take up to 6 weeks…I will never book with them again..I hope by the time they get around to booking me a new flight there is availability in business with a reasonable flight time. If I had booked the ticket myself United would of changed it immediately for me because when I originally called they were about to until they saw it was booked through a consolidator. i guess if there are no issues with your flights booking with them is fine …but having no control over your reservations with the state of travel these days is very overwhelming.

Yes..we are supposed to fly out 9/1 for the 9/3 cruise…I just hope we get our flights soon

Thanks for the review..we are headed on the Edge hopefully 9/1- that is if Flights by Celebrity will book us another flight since United canceled it.. This will be my third Edge cruise since the restart and are looking forward to going to Greece.

How quickly did Celebrity change your flights? United canceled my flight for my Edge cruise out of Rome. Apparently it was unconfirmed in April but it only dropped off my United Ap on 6/29 (it was a codeshare with Swiss Air) was never contacted by Flights by Celebrity and my travel agent says they weren’t either. When I first contacted Flights by Celebrity they said 30 days …which I thought was excessive..now they are saying it could be another 30 days.. Planning travel used to be fun…now I just hope I get there..I just bought new carry on luggage so I can try and pack effectively in that in case my checked bags don’t make ..that is if I ever get a flight. I think this is the one and only time I book with flights by Celebrity. I could of rebooked immediately with United if I had booked on my own since they canceled.

At this point it is a waiting game…I was really checking the Ap for my flight on United in two weeks for the Maiden Voyage of the Disney Wish… I guess one cruise at a time and hope for the best…

No I don’t really care if we are next to each other at this point I just want to have a flight

That’s good to know about Chase sapphire rewards…that was my next option for the flights but we were hoping to save them for next year since we thought we were getting such a good deal with FBC..hopefully it still comes through….
