  1. Sounds like an awesome time!! Definitely take her to the shows! My DDs (now 19 & 21) started cruising at 4 & 6 and loved watching the "big shows". Maybe bring a pashmina shawl or blankie because the theatre can be a bit chilly. My DDs sometimes would fall asleep cuddled up next to me and Daddy. 🥰
  2. On Ecstasy, Sunshine and MG the minimum was $5 for roulette.
  3. If you port at Costa Maya, go to The Krazy Lobster! We took a taxi from port ($4/person) and had a delicious lobster lunch ($23/plate) and an hour long massage on the beach for $20. It was awesome!
  4. That sounds yummy! I like the Caribbean Manhattan at Alchemy, not on the menu but the mixologists can make it. It does have a Luxardo cherry which I love😃
  5. This was posted on another thread: Post from John Heald, Carnival Cruise Ambassador, about the Elation. Guest Capacity per Carnival.com is 2190 (two people per cabin) Posted June 18th, 2022. 6. DDs and I would be under the second umbrella from the left! 😎
  7. Gotcha. I thought you were in the parking garage. I forgot about the time difference since it's almost 10am here in SC. Oops
  8. Can you see security cameras? I didn't even look for cameras when we parked, I was so intent on getting on board!🙈
  9. We did the same with parking. Happy to hear you all arrived safely😃
  10. May 28 Ecstasy cruise was at 100% according to Carnival personnel
  11. I ordered a bottle of Sky Vodka for my room on Ecstasy and it wasn't delivered till the second day because of this issue. I wondered why I didn't receive it after we were in International waters the first day. Hmmmm.....
  12. I haven't heard of the Charlemagne theory but I have heard that Genghis Khan or Atilla the Hun had hundreds of children and that he could be a potential gene spreader king. What I love are the people who think they lived past lives as Cleopatra but in actuality they were Cleo's snake herder. 😜
  13. My favorite was The Manager's Special, white clam sauce and the Mizithra cheese with browned butter. Yum!!
  14. I'm not a fan of the taste but if it helps, it's worth it!
  15. Did you do the 23 and Me? My DH and I did and it was very interesting. I thought I was at least 20% Irish but no, I'm 2%. Found out my DH is 44% Irish which surprised him. I'm basically a mutt😄
  16. If you don't have tickets ahead of time for Anne Frank museum you would have to wait in a very long line and might not be able to get in. Especially during summer.
  17. Like cruissin*tigger posted, instead of the free bottle of wine, you can purchase a couple bottles of wine off of their wine selection at 50% off. I did this 5-6 years ago and bought 5 bottles at 50% off, which they stored them for me at my MDR. I'm not sure how many they will sell now at 50% off but it doesn't hurt to ask. Have a great cruise!
  18. Target has a good selection of khaki wear. That and a polo shirt or buttondown shirt and he's good to go!😉
  19. I have seen some sparkly dresses, long formal dresses and regular dresses. I personally don't think a long dress is too much. Get some pictures done!!😁
  20. Is your rate called something like Exclusive VIFP Summer Savings Sale? That's the best rate I have in my VIFP which starts at $111 per person. Thx!!
  21. If they are khaki shorts probably fine for all nights at MDR except Elegant night. Khaki pants are good for Elegant night.
  22. FYI, on my May 28 Ecstasy cruise they didn't have a P/D party due to Covid and staff shortages. I got an extra "free" drink. Hope the party gets back on schedule soon!
  23. Yikes!! And I thought my 9ish hour drive to Mobile was long! Safe travels👍Looking forward to your review😎
  24. When I tell people who have been to Amsterdam that I am going there, many have suggested the Rijksmuseum as a must do. Rick Steves suggests allowing 2 hours to tour it. The Van Gough Museum is close by as well.
