  1. From Carnival's website: TESTING REQUIREMENTS (UPDATED 8/05/22) CRUISES 5 DAYS OR LESS Except for sailings visiting Bermuda (see below), there will be no pre-cruise testing for fully vaccinated guests booked on cruises with itineraries 5 days or less. Due to destination requirements, ALL guests on itineraries that include Bermuda must complete a pre-cruise test, irrespective of the length of the cruise. To comply with destination regulations, guests may take either a PCR or an antigen test within the timelines specified below: A PCR test within 72 hours prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday). An antigen test no earlier than two days prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Thursday).
  2. I have a 5 day cruise going to Nassau over Labor Day weekend and I haven't received an email from Carnival about this change. Hmm.
  3. I counted 9 ships on Carnival's website that go to the Bahamas and sail 2-5 day cruises.
  4. last cruise I called the day before and requested bfast at 7am. It arrived at 6:45am.
  5. When you say "short cruises" is that 5 days and under? Thx!!
  6. If you don't mind, how does it differ? Thx!!
  7. Will you be writing a review of this cruise? DH and I are on the Oct 18, 2023 out of Rome and I'm looking forward to the ports! Thanks for writing this review. MG is awesome!
  8. Okay, so if I'm doing an at-home proctored test then I need to do it 2 days before embarkation? Just want to make sure, because I didn't notice this as well. UGH!
  9. If you are there before 10am, you will see a line up of cars waiting to get into the lot to park. We asked a number of people (police, parking) and no one said get into the line that forms around the parking lot. Hope that helps!
  10. My DH and I are on the same itinerary Oct 18, 2023. I'm looking forward to checking out the excursions when Carnival posts them to my Cruise Manager. Have you already selected what you'll do in port?
  11. Really?! Bahamas are not requiring RCI passengers to test? This is so disappointing. It even says on the travelweekly.com site that Bahamas require vaccination proof of vaccinated passengers. That's it. UGH. Bahamas: open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers Updated: June 16. Vaccinated travelers: Show proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated travelers: Travelers ages 2 and over must present proof of RT-PCR test taken within three days of arrival.
  12. Hee hee! And here I am researching the ports on TripAdvisor since all Carnival has right now is excursions for Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey. My DH thinks I'm crazy too! Is your Cruise Manager full of excursions for all ports?
  13. That is the same itinerary that we have! Would love to hear about your excursions that you have planned. I've never been to Greece. So excited!!
  14. I'm glad your symptoms are mild. Thx for your review!
  15. When is your European cruise? DH and I are booked on Pride Oct 18, 2023😃
  16. I was trying to think of a way that someone could go get their lunch from lido, be gone from their chair for 15 minutes and show they were gone for only 15 minutes. A couple people on this thread indicated that issue had happened to them. Just a thought...😀
  17. What if when you leave your chair you take a pic with your phone of you in your chair, getting a time stamp. That way if anyone moves your stuff before the required time, you can prove you were only gone so long. Just a thought....
  18. I like the wine dispenser!!🤣
  19. Roulette? Momma's gotta get a new pair of shoes...🤣
  20. For us it's more important to have access to a balcony and if we need to stretch our money elsewhere, we will. That's one reason why we cruise Carnival.
  21. Another poster on another "end of the testing" threads said they thought the cut off at 5 days and under cruises not needing the pre cruise Covid test was that ports that are still requiring negative tests are in the 6 days and up cruises. Hopefully these ports will modify their requirements.
