I haven't received an email from Carnival for my upcoming Thanksgiving cruise but maybe that's because I have final payment scheduled to be paid with my credit card. I'm going to pay it off with my Carnival gift cards (10% off, yeah!!) but it's good to have a safety net.

Since the Restart, I have cruised out of Charleston 3 times, this Labor Day weekend will make it 4 times. The three hour drive for me is great but I am used to setting my car on auto pilot and driving 9 hours to Port Canaveral. Miami is a stretch, but I have done it. I hope Carnival selects a port like Savannah. I thought I read North Charleston as a possibility. Is that a contender? Wilmington, NC? If not, I guess it's back to Jacksonville, FL for the 5.5 hour drive. I'm ready to do that this Thanksgiving😊

Is one of those terminals a gravel parking lot? I remember one cruise where we tendered to a gravel parking lot, got seats in a van that took us to Royal Palms for the day. Like $7 per passenger in the van. The gravel parking lot had vendors in temporary huts/shacks.

In Grand Turk, check out Jack's Shack. Walk down the pier then turn left. Walk about 15 minutes and grab a table. Yummy jerk chicken and tasty drinks. Plus you can watch a game of volleyball. Great place! Have a great cruise!

I used to bring note cards until I realized that Guest Services had gratuity envelopes. I write "Thank you (insert name)" from Our Family with our room number. I want them to know who the extra on top of gratuities comes from. Plus it personalizes my thanks.

I totally agree! I spent 4 days in Vegas, staying with my BF from Junior High at the MGM. She had a business convention and invited me to hang out. No coffee maker in the room? No little fridge? Barbarians! I picked up tickets for Blue Man Group (loved it!) at about $100/tkt. Food and drink is way expensive, there are no deals. Will I join my BF for another convention? Probably but I need a bigger budget. Carnival cruises are a deal compared to Vegas.🤑
