  1. weren't locked when we last cruised 2 months ago. Put our backpack in the closet and off we went.
  2. You are indeed correct. Nice ship and waterslides. Also a theater with seats that don't move so the area can become a disco.
  3. to do what you describe yes but only to drop off your things.
  4. we actually just booked the Oasis from NJ! Good price and no airfare. Only downside is Cats!
  5. thanks everybody for all the replies. Much appreciated!
  6. Thanks didnt think so. After our next cruise in October we will have 79 points. Have to sneak a short cruise in there somehow so we will have over 80 for the next cruise after October.
  7. Is there anyway to get extra loyalty points other than cruising solo?
  8. Just cruised Carnival in April and a lot of the complaints you had were also on our cruise but I didn't think of them as something to complain about. We are platinum and you receive different goodies for being platinum. Nothing was left in our cabin or delivered. You went and picked the stuff up in different locations. Also you are wondering why they didn't fix or replace the big screen. During covid the cruise lineslost billions so unfortunately things like that have to wait. I believe CCL has past on fixing or upgrading certain things until a future date as well. You were on one of the oldest ships in the fleet. It certainly wouldn't compare with some of the newer ships in RCI's fleet or CCL's. Have fun with whichever ship you cruise on next. 😀
  9. I see cabin 1234 available at $638 pp. assuming you are cruising solo it would probably be a little over $1500
  10. I booked in April for my next one and didn't get one either.
  11. How often are you in your room in Alaska? It's only a week in an inside. We usually do balconys but my wife and I did an inside for an Alaskan cruise and it was fine. We weren't in the cabin much except to sleep and shower. I see insides are $295 and oceanviews are $638. Touch decision. Hopefully the price will go down but you are talking about prime Alaska sailings so as mentioned above the chances are slim. Good luck with whatever you decide. Happy sailing!
  12. Could you elaborate about the hoops they had to jump through as I’m not familiar with that incident.
  13. I agree. I also feel bad for the staff and the pax who got canceled. they were at least smart enough to realize with supply chain problems, staffing problems, etc that they didn’t want to put out an inferior product. I know you touted Carnival for getting all their ships sailing again before every other line, but at what cost? I’m sure Carnival hit a few speed bumps when they first got into the business.😀
  14. That's what I thought . Pretty harsh and making people who are traveling with you or in adjacent cabins. I wonder if this rule is ever enforced. Would sure be a deal breaker to us if we were cruising with another couple but staying in a different cabin.
  15. I was just checking out NCL after reading this and found the following: Beverage packages must be purchased for all guests staying within the same stateroom, additional stateroom, adjoining stateroom or travel with. Individuals under the age of 21 will be required to purchase the Soda Program. Seems a little harsh. Don't know if they enforce all this.
  16. The cruise started May 8th so I'm sure the cruise from hell as you called it is way in the rear view mirror.
  17. just go to the mdr and it's still free every day there.
  18. I'm sure Frank Del Fee-o is happy you cruised with NCL. My buddy just texted me with a deal with NCL about free drink package etc and I said as long as the cruise isn't $2000 for an inside cabin, maybe it's a good deal.
  19. at least you are still going to cruise with Carnival. As time goes on you'll forget about this or your stance will soften and you'll have a great time.🙂
