  1. Strange how your dog and myself have had the same summer😎 Avril
  2. We're both fine(ish) Gill, thank you. Frank is having some mobility issues at the moment and I'm having to help him more than normal. The heat has been affecting me and as a result I'm not sleeping much, about three or four hours a night so I'm a little down at the moment and don't feel like posting much. I've been reading all the posts and reacting, it helps me through the day. I'll bounce back, I always do.🙂 A bit of an odd day of mixed emotions for us today. Frank's 78th birthday and the anniversary of his Mum's death. Have a good day all whether on land or sea. Avril
  3. Will you be doing a live blog on the Princess forum? We can follow you on there if so. Have a lovely relaxing cruise. Avril
  4. Harry was still posting a couple of weeks ago, so he may be on holiday now.🤞 Still no sign of @wowzz though, not since May. 😟 Avril
  5. I would like make the comment, unbelievable, but it isn't😏 Avril
  6. Adonia got caught in a sudden cyclone while on our way to Italy in 2015 which damaged the stabilisers. We were mid cruise but completed the itinerary, albeit with much rolling, and only one missed port. A very interesting cruise indeed, but enjoyable just the same. Avril
  7. She's definitely not a seasoned cruiser that's for sure. Avril
  8. I hope that's all it is, and that his family are all well. Strange how you can feel close to people you've never met. Avril
  9. The last time he posted was about May I think, at least on CC. It's very worrying. Avril
  10. Keep your chin up Sue. It comes as a shock to us as our parents age because we're used to them being strong and in charge of things. I learned with both my parents that even as the body gets frail their inner strenght and determination is still there. I hope your Mum and Dad are both alright and look after yourself too. Take care.x Avril
  11. When on Adonia I asked the same question. We met the maitre d' again who had been on Arcadia, Elvis, a really lovely man. He said the same same thing, and also that the distance from the galley to dining room was a big factor in the efficiency and cheerfulness of the waiters. Avril
  12. So sorry to hear of your loss Eglesbrech. We reach a stage in life when we seem to attend more funerals than weddings. Live each day as it comes and always try to find something special about each one. Avril
  13. My daughter is the same. She won't touch custard, mashed potatoes or milk puddings either. Avril
  14. Ah yes, I remember it well😋 With Blackforest Gateau to follow😉 Avril
  15. Fish is usually served with a wedge of lemon. Lemon curd is made with lemons so..................😁 Avril
  16. Congratulations Graham and Pauline. Happy anniversary💐🥂 Avril
  17. That's a shame bro. It would be the perfect finish to a perfect meal.😁 Not🤢 Sis
  18. I agree Presto. Our first cruise on her was a 24 night around the Eastern Med and we loved her. We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary aboard her too. Nice memories. Avril
  19. Welcome home @DamianG I've followed your journey from your first post, and have enjoyed it all, from the Laundry Capers to the strange Noises in the Night. Thank you for taking me on a wonderful cruise with your lovely family A very honest and impartial review. Avril
  20. Now that is something that we would certainly love to try. Thank you Graham. Avril
  21. All the dining venues on all the various ships mentioned on here and it's the first time I've seen this one. I'm intrigued Graham. Could you tell me some more about it? Avril
  22. Why not Graham, won't you be cruising with P&O again?🤔 Avril
