  1. The smaller ship size can fit through the older (cheaper) locks/canal/whatever you call it.
  2. I don’t have firsthand experience, but it sounds like you should be able to upgrade once your cabin is assigned, if you’re within whatever the upgrade window is. On all my prior Caribbean voyages, it’s been maaaany months in advance, but on my current Greek voyage, we werent able to look at upgrades until maybe 6 weeks ago?
  3. Carloooooossssss! Although titi kaka is a close second!
  4. If available on your cruise, generally yes. I’ve had one experience where fitness classes didn’t get loaded until like 3-3:30, but otherwise, everything’s bookable on the app as soon as you physically board the ship and connect to the wifi.
  5. Hitt and my beast are fitness classes, mix it up is a mixology demo competition (not a class- you get drinks that the bartenders make). Mescalier is a tequila/mezcal tasting class, and guilty pleasures is a new-ish show. No happy hours on the ship at this point (they had free drink happy hours for a while earlier this year during 1st quarter)
  6. I just got onboard resilient. valiant is essentially a dupe of scarlet, with a few aesthetic differences- art and decor. resilient has the tattoo shop where the sundries store is on the other 2, the logo shop where the tattoo shop is on the others, and on resilient, the sundries shop (veeeerrrry small offerings in there!) and a Louis Vuitton vintage store are where the 2-part logo store is on the other 2.
  7. Yep. The silliest one I’ve seen is at breakfast at razzle dazzle the last morning, a woman had FOUR BOTTLES of moet in her arms that she bought at red bar!!!
  8. The espresso martinis are only like $11! I was surprised at how long our bar tab lasted- a drink with dinner, a few poolside cocktails, and evening mixed drinks every night. Remember it’s use it or lose it too. We’ve seen lots of people with arms full of moet bottles on the last morning bc they couldn’t spend it all!
  9. I’ll be on starting tomorrow! Super excited to see some familiar happenings cast faces!!!!
  10. In recent reports, people have said they couldn’t do this with spirits, only wines. I’m guessing it’s because inventory for stocking all the bars became a mess when a bottle of vodka here and a bottle of tequila there would get sold from a bar’s stock.
  11. It’s very likely because their target market is the US, and historically, it’s been pretty cheap/easy to get to Europe from the US (even during peak summer season). This years fares are pretty unprecedented- our flights to Athens would have been almost twice the price as our upcoming cruise in coach, had we paid cash for them.
  12. I think they mean extra as in more quantity of drinks (aka free drinks with your $300 purchase). “Premium drinks” is anything that isn’t included in your fare- espresso, fancy teas, booze, Red Bulls, etc.
  13. Any chance one had a middle name/the other didn’t? That happened when my husband added my middle name to our 2nd reservation. No one could figure it out until sailor services finally put a ticket in, and it was fixed within a couple hours.
  14. It seems to change based on the voyage, but they’re all generally on the sweeter side. You can sub in wine or beer, but the cocktail is a set one!
  15. Not the first time I’ve heard of this! Muscle memory is strong haha but definitely need some sort of check to make sure this doesn’t happen!! we usually put our door on DND while we’re in it or in the balcony, so no one comes in/locks us out.
  16. They’re still included- they apparently used to wipe the charges off from anywhere (like I implied in an earlier post, people were probably being really obnoxious at sailor services until they “got their way” and had coffee charges from restaurants/ship eats removed), but the terms of the offer have always said it needed to be at one of the 2 grounds club locations. It definitely still exists as a perk.
  17. i love the sriracha or other spicy stuff they put on there!!
  18. 13th VV coming up this weekend! I’d only been on one cruise before and thought it was terrible. Still won’t step on any other lines, but virgin is great!
  19. It’s new- I think it’s one of the festival stage acts, which means it’s a rotating act. I’ve only seen one review so far, but it might not even be on by the time you are!
  20. post #43 says that it's just not included from any restaurant on the ship - just grounds club (which is how it works in reality). some people reported last year that they were able to use it via ship eats or at restaurants, but i'm guessing that was actually some combination of... assertive... interactions with sailor services to get them removed, or just general forgetfulness of staff to charge them for the drinks at restaurants.
  21. lol not limited to ships though - my sister in law ordered an LIT at a bar in manhattan and was FLOORED when it was like $60. lesson in life - just don't order LITs at fancy bars hahaha
  22. i think the virgin mary would be a charge (maybe $5-7?), as that's a premium mixer. basically any mixers that are fountain or canned soda, or standard (i.e., not cold-pressed) juices are included. off the top of my head, ginger beer and red bulls are extra charge mixers, as well as whatever the bars make you mocktail-wise with syrups/special items.
  23. i don't think that's misleading - are you saying it is re: the $10 or the location? $10 daily implies "spend $10 per day," and the specialty coffees are offered primarily at the Grounds Club locations.
  24. IIRC, you have to "register" with the spa desk so they can track capacity, but i'm pretty sure we just came and went as we pleased.
  25. my first several voyages, i got an email REALLY far in advance. my next voyage, it kept saying my voyage was ineligible for upgrade up until i actually got the email a few weeks ago.
