  1. Is it possible to link a specialty restaurant reservation but pay separately (for pre-cruise booking)? Do you link the reservation after each one has paid? Thanks!
  2. I love to cool off under the bucket drop!
  3. I am early 50s and love the slides! I've had a lot of fun conversations with the kids in the lines 🙂 My husband is almost 60 and sometimes I can drag him on the slides as well!
  4. Yes, that's how I drink my coffee. The higher the fat, the lower the sugar (which also means lower lactose as has been pointed out). I have been known to bring my own heavy cream on vacation! Not sure it would be allowed on a ship (or if I want to carry it around).
  5. Yay, I am on Horizon in October, thanks! The new options look pretty good.
  6. Yikes, I think if I do a Transatlantic I will need one that takes a more southerly route. It's okay if I'm on an Alaskan cruise with lots of ports where you get out to hike (or have views of glaciers) but I think this would be too cold for me on so many sea days.
  7. In that case, I 2nd the lamb biryani! The fish tikka is intriguing as an appetizer.
  8. Did you notice if Tomodoro has made to order breakfast burritos?
  9. Fingers crossed! I would be so stressed. It will be a relief once you at least get to London. A lot more options!
  10. I love Picasso but have to admit seeing some of the drawings reminds me of an old SNL skit with Jon Lovitz. He played Picasso and he would try to pay for everything with just a doodle from him on a napkin. It was much more hilarious than I am making it sound!
  11. Great itinerary! I lived on Crete for a year but only made it to Athens (Crete is a big island! I went all over). One of their signature dishes is Dakos (Greek Bruschetta) but you will likely see it on menus at least in Athens. Loved them! Greek cruise is definitely on my bucket list!!
  12. They didn't know how to cook it then. It's usually really good at a Greek restaurant.
  13. I flew out of Vegas on Tuesday and the Centurion lounge had a very constant, 50ish person wait to get in. I think they were at a point where they were only letting people in as some came out.
  14. Really looking forward to this! This is one of the ships I'm eyeing for a Bermuda cruise out of NYC. I'm on the Horizon in October so interested to see how it compares as well (though I know the "Havana" area does not have the pool - main reason I booked Horizon). Have a great trip!!
  15. If I order a bottle of wine from the plus package with dinner, is the 18-20 year old (or anyone for that matter) allowed to partake with me?
  16. Having been on the week before, I agree with the overall assessment, especially with the entertainment. I had been on the Summit (sister ship) several years ago and was disappointed with the MDR food based on reviews (even though that was my first leisure cruise!) This time we got a great deal for a suite so ate in Luminae and I thought the food there was excellent. I think I will always want to sail in Aqua or Retreat class on the M class ships for the food. And so far, no one beats Carnival for lunch! We also had 5 port days so the rest of the ship was not as important. I did not have any issues with WIFI but I wasn't doing anything other than checking email a few times a day and a few web sites.
  17. Last week the 2nd night of Silent Disco was in the Sky Lounge. I only made it to that one but it seems like it was a much better place than around the Martini bar!
  18. I love Coki, I had the best shore dive ever there! Thanks for helping me get through my Millennium withdrawal! I don't know what our capacity was last week but it didn't seem too crowded.
  19. If I have to get off the ship on Saturday, at least following your trip will help with the withdrawal! We are having a great time on the Millennium. You will love the Bali Boys in the Martini Bar!!
  20. I am also looking forward to your review. I'm from Tampa Bay (St. Pete) and have hoped to cruise out of there sometime in a combined hometown visit!
  21. I'm on the Millennium in April (the 8th)! I took her sister ship, Summit, out of Puerto Rico in 2018. I love the port calls from there. Neither had gone through a revolution at the time.
  22. Well I might be able to try the food out for you! My hotel before my cruise in April is right by there. I did want to try Barrachina's for dinner though. I'll make a reservation for that!
  23. Just had a mini panic! I booked an 8th deck aft a few days ago on Horizon (specifically for their Havana) and had to double check my booking. That's odd that Vista only goes up to the 7th for the aft extended. I wonder if they have more Havana rooms elsewhere that Horizon doesn't have or if Horizon just has more Havana rooms.
  24. Hello, I love the Southern Caribbean route. We are doing our 2nd cruise out of San Juan next spring. The first thing I did was determine how many ships (and what size) will be in each port at the same time. That will affect some of my choices. For St. Maarten, that will be the busiest port so we opted for a rhino cruise (https://www.rhinotours.com). I figure we will be on the water and not crowded for most of our excursion. If you dive, Coki beach on St. Thomas has a great shore dive. You very quickly drop to around 40 feet and we saw lots of great stuff (including a beautiful eel!) I’m not sure how it would be for snorkelers though. I have done that snorkel at the Buck Island National Park and it was great.
