Hope you were ok with Covid - what is the procedure and policy on board now?

Not been on Celebrity but Husband has been very sea sick on other ships, but not on QE/QV - we have passed through the bay of biscay/NY to Southampton via Ireland with no issues. He did feel a little unwell in the library on QM2 in very large waves on a transatlantic but was all good once moved back to mid-ships.

Hi We board the QE in just over two weeks and think read that the laundrettes had closed due to Covid - are they open again yet? Us being a family of 4 and away for almost 4 weeks with economy luggage allowances means having functioning laundry rooms is important to us. Thank you!

We join the QE in LA in just over a months time......we are now all Covid positive (husband brought it home from work and he only goes in one day a week) and the rest of the family just tested positive today - I have no symptoms.....at least he can come out of prison now (I was getting a bit fed up of the texts with requests for various items from the rest of the house) and we can mix freely in the covid soup of our house. If we were going to get it now seems like the perfect time......as clearly can not catch it again before the holiday or during.......hopefully this dose will last us to an Autumn Booster. Do you have a view of how many cases on the QE currently?

Yep back one - I think they are closing down all GC cabins - this places us in a GC cabin next to the next grade up. I think everyone in a GC probably got this email - just a human probably had not sense checked that 4 people in a GC could not be downgraded - hence why we have been put back there! Given us all a bit of a worry for 24hrs - hope we still get the compensation!

TA sorted it.......we are moving to the cabin next door which is the same grade! Bonkers.

And QE cruises now back on sale......including Deluxe Inside Cabins for our stretch....this gets more odd.....cunard agent who was convinced that 4 berth cabins below GC grade existed said the cruise was fully booked.

Made a mistake - we are on in LA off Fort lauderdale - we fly into San Francisco 6 days before making our own way down the coast, then doing some time in Disney at the other end....away for almost 4 weeks in total.

We are 1043 - will let you know what happens...ours has also been booked for about that length of time. Those deluxe insides work for us lots of space.

Two interconnecting standard insides would be fine - but would be nice to know what is going on. Our friend is joining us - US booking single cabin - almost identical email but being told they are getting an upgrade!

GC - TA confirmed there are no lower grade 4 berth cabins than this.......although the cunard rep has assured her there are. TA told her no there are not and has a more senior contact she is emailing for us. Very curious.

No just the one $100 OBC - agreed rubbish.....particularly given the uncertainty for 'two to three' weeks whilst we can not ask them for any details whilst they sort it out. Q1 would be good - one of the kids can sleep in the bath!

Not refund of the lower price (that would be nice) no refund of the difference in price.

Can have full refund or $100 OBC offered as compensation and refund of the lower price. We are travelling with others and have things organised before and after so no chance we can get something else. What is puzzling me is where we are being downgraded to - daughter asked if she will have to sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor (which actually they both be totally fine with)! Thankfully excellent TA who is looking into it for me.

Just had email from Cunard - leave on QE on 24th July - they need to move our cabin and only available is of a lower grade. I am confused we are in a 4 berth cabin and as far as I can see there are no lower grade cabins that can take 4 people. Email says they can not provide any more details at this time as they are sorting it out and we should know the new details within a few weeks. Anyone else got this? I wonder where we are being moved to.......

OK - this sounds good - if we both have 100 shares do we get double the OBC?

OK this is new to me - 100 shares look like £1000 and with a 14 day cruise coming up the return in terms of OBC look great. Couple of questions how much OBC do you get for 14 day cruise - the link above suggests $250 or £150 quite a difference. Any other benefits? Downsides clearly further fall in the share price (note was around £30 a share pre pandemic vs £10 now!)

All QE cruises have now disappeared from the Cunard website - not taking any bookings on her until 9th Aug. So presume those on QE up to 9th Aug are still at risk of being 'cancelled off'.
