  1. Odd. Is that the only thing that comes up when you search Charlottetown, or PEI, or Prince Edward Island?
  2. Oceanview Cabin: https://youtube.com/shorts/tseYZMFWAOA?feature=share
  3. The Cruise entry requirements are here: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise While unfortunate, there are different rules for cruise travel in Canada
  4. Yes, it's not publicly available (yet?) You need to call. https://cruiseradio.net/norwegian-cruise-line-perks-program-free-at-sea-plus/
  5. I've just read the platinum insurance, what does it mean by: "Norwegian Cruise Line will provide guests who are denied due to a non-covered reason with a future cruise credit equal to 90% of the non-refundable cancellation charge"?
  6. Tons of studies have shown both vaccinated and unvaccinated do not catch covid, and transmit covid, at equal rates. Vaccinated is much less. "both can BLANK" is a false logic. Michael Phelps and I are both Swimmers.
  7. Lol! I honestly don't mind scaring people a little; as someone who works partly with internal comms teams, sometimes you need to stress/scare people into action. You can say later "see we warned you it would be a problem if you didn't take action" In this case I worked myself up 🤣
  8. TY! Yeah I had that feeling, but the wording on the NCL page made me start to worry!
  9. Thank you, this was my suspicion. Appreciate it.
  10. When I called to inquire about adding this to my November cruise the PCC said we'd need to call the shorex number. I didn't end up booking it on that trip, but did book on my cruise next year because I had no shore excursions booked yet. So it made it so much easier.
  11. TY, Mirror's my experience. But I just wasn't sure if it could be an issue since NCl booked the tickets and not him directly with the airline. Once the tickets are issued 30 days out I'll tell him to contact the airline...
  12. Does anyone have any experience with NCL Air Sea program? Our family of 6 is cruising in late Nov, and my brother and his GF's flights are book through NCL. The rest of us are traveling on points. My brother missed the calls from our PCC to confirm his full name, and we are now past the final payment date. So the info NCL has for the flight is just his first/last, but his passport has his middle name. At first I wasn't worried, but now reading the NCL Air Sea page it says: Name changes or corrections All guests must provide their complete legal name exactly as it appears on their required travel documentation. If your full legal name(s) does not reflect correctly on your cruise confirmation, please contact Norwegian Cruise Line at 1800-327-7030 or your travel advisor immediately. Failure to provide your correct complete legal name prior to final payment, will result in a nonrefundable change fee of $150. Flights booked without your complete legal name exactly as it appears on your required travel documentation may result in denial of boarding by the airline. Should we be worried about his missing middle name? We're flying out of Toronto, and in the past I've never had any issues with updating my middle name while checking-in. Any advice would be helpful!
  13. Wait, so they updated the wording to say "some contain" from whatever they had before? I'd be PISSED if I booked it and didn't the hot tub. That's a really enticing feature. I'm sure that's a main reason some people booked it.
  14. I predict the current restrictions will stay in place for the remainder of the cruise season in Canada. And then we'll see what happens next season
  15. Yes I see the Cruise line restrictions in Canada eventually falling by the wayside.
  16. As a Canadian, I can say it's confusing. I hope this clarifies (and this is my interpretation, so take it with a grain of salt). The main link is here: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/covid-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada But if you scroll down there is a special cruise travel section: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise My view is that this likely supersedes the previous info. As they're calling "Cruise Travel" something else Case in Point: If you arrive by boat (including ferry), submit when you enter Canada For travellers boarding a cruise ship, visit the Cruise ship travel page for requirements specific to cruise ships Arrival by Water: Means entering Canada via water. AKA Boat, Ferry, (Seems to exclude Ship on purpose?) etc (Swimming?! LOL) Cruise Ship Travel: Cruising Vacation or Embarking/Disembarking
  17. Honestly the key after Sept 2nd is: unless country requirements differ. Currently Canada's requirements differ, so currently, yes to testing if you embark or go to a Canadian Port. They're basically say "we don't require testing for vaccinated guests, unless a country requires it" I'm 50/50 on this news. While I think it's fine to drop the testing for vaccinated guests, it does make things less streamlined. It's easier for everyone to understand then it's a one size fits all type thing. Either testing is a YES or a NO. When we through all the different Country requirements in there it's gonna be confusing.
  18. I think it's just an error on their part. Not updating all the deck plans correctly.
  19. Yeah, but I'm still wondering why they clearly show a sliding door in the primary bedroom, as well as the living room
  20. Just saw this on a FB group? All the layouts showed some sort of division, so that FB group photo is surprising? Maybe the chairs are just for the workers currently? Also, I just noticed some if the updated deck plans show different shaped balconies than before. Eg. Deck 13 (standard shape) and Deck 16, odd shapes
  21. That's awesome. By brother and his partner are doing NCL Air for our cruise in Nov. The rest of us booked our own flights. Hopefully his flights are as successful as yours!
  22. Honestly, I would just take a photo of your Arrive Can info using their phone(s)? If they have them. As others mentioned it's a 2 day window: the 2-day window does not depend on the time of day the test was taken or the time that you board for example, if your ship is scheduled to leave on Friday, you could provide proof of a negative result from an antigen test taken any time on Wednesday, Thursday, or on Friday
  23. I'm sure you, as an American knows more by reading these "articles", than the majority of Canadians living here.
  24. The information on cruise travel is here: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/cruise Pre-embarkation COVID-19 testing All travellers 5 years of age or older must have a COVID-19 test to board a cruise ship in Canada or to board a cruise ship that will dock in Canada at any point on the cruise.
  25. As a Canadian I can say that the majority of the population are not laughing at it. It's far from perfect, but I've used it many times for cruises, flights, driving and had Zero issues. My only complaint is there should be an easy solution for individuals who struggle with tech (or are unable to complete it without assistance), eg Kiosks at airports etc. The best advise I can give is to register an account well in advance, and get your traveler, vaccine, passport information into there asap. Then all you need to do within 72 hours is just enter in your travel data. Using the app will "link" your info to your passport (at least that's how it is for Canadians), and you won't even need to show anything (they'll already know if you completed it or not) I'm not sure if it will be going anywhere soon. There was a recent update to the app, adding the ability to make your CBSA (aka Duty) Declaration in advance of arriving at select airports. They did this to speed up the process of getting through customs (a huge pain point). I know they are looking at digital solutions to speed things like this up.
