  1. "tips" are an technically an incentive program. Both in the general population and on cruise ships.
  2. NCL does state that is used to provide gratuities in their most recent email: "...discretionary daily services charges, which provide gratuities to key onboard team members, including room stewards, restaurant servers and behind-the-scenes support staff."
  3. Some of the best photos i've seen yet. Ship looks STUNNING. Can't wait to set sail in January!
  4. We have one booked for the first time. And we're very excited and looking forward to it!
  5. As others have said, since you booked the Air via NCL they should wait (a reasonable) amount of time for you. They tack on the transfers (at a cost) so unless you tell them not to they should be included. I would bet that you make it.
  6. It used to be "250min for the first passenger" they updated the free at sea package recently, now it's "150min for two passengers" less per person, but more in total
  7. It depends. Sometimes the promo is $50 off per excursion.
  8. Yeah I have a hard time believing these are a "mistake" or "screwup". They knew very well what they were doing. Will they get complaints? Likely. But that can be fixed with a better descriptions of these rooms (and possibly lower prices). I doubt they'll be removed.
  9. I feel like part of the reason for the undesirable flights/stop-overs is due what's going on with the airline industry (limited flights, over priced etc). Once things start to go back to how they were pre-pandemic we might start seeing things improve. NCL is always going to go with the lower cost flights, as long as they meet their guarantee.
  10. For our upcoming cruise next month my partner and I, and my parents, all booked our flights on points. My brother (who doesn't collect points) used the NCL promo. He got lucky and is on a flight to Miami roughly around the same time as us (with no connections); and on the way back he has one 2 hour connection; and departs around the same time as us again. His total for the two of them was $330 CAD. It really is luck of the draw.
  11. Glad to hear they're good! We just booked them for our Cruise in Jan 2023
  12. Honestly, i've seen that "shore excursion credit will be applied" on the paddleboards before, but every time I've gone to book it, it doesn't apply. Which is how I originally discovered that rentals can't have the credit applied. That seems like a glitch that won't seem to go away lol
  13. My gut feeling was that it was a glitch from the start, they've never allowed shore excursion credits to be applied to rentals on GSC (paddle boards etc), so i'm pretty happy I managed to snag one.
  14. TY! Just booked mine for my cruise in January. I already have an afternoon zip-line excursion, so (I guess) I have the per-excursion credit. Got both for close no zero dollars.
  15. Honestly I don't see this as an NCL issue at this point, if the flight is with Delta this would appear to be their issue and they should be working to fix it. If they cancel the flight or rebook you then NCL would be obligated to step in.
  16. FYI: the official announcement https://www.cp24.com/news/feds-lift-border-vaccine-mandates-mandatory-masks-on-planes-and-trains-1.6084101 Nothing mentioned about Cruise Travel
  17. Our airfare from Toronto to Miami was around $350 CAD for our trip in Nov. And we got the "2nd passenger flies free" promo. Currently the same flight is over $800 for one person. Total win for us.
  18. Anyone who booked these with the old (original) deck plans are often getting larger balconies, with a better view. There was no guarantee of anything but a side view of the ship.
  19. These should be listed as partially obstructed and shown with a percentage, 10%, 30, 50%, etc. Many of these photos posted above are wide angle photos which very clearly distort things.

  21. Apologies if it's been discussed previously, but I'd love to hear about the Supermarket Sweep and/or Price is Right game show from someone who's experienced it. Cost, how it works, whether it's worth it or not etc. TY
  22. Didn't say it wasn't likely, but nothing is for sure until it's officially announced.
