Ha the slient disco! We did that, it was great. We all sang to living on a prayer by Bon Jovi! Even the people who didn't have headphones on joined in when everyone sang out the chorus 😁🎶 If they do the dj disco and I can't remember what it's called or what night it was on but that was just as good in the same area and beyond! They were playing the likes of Abba, Queen, The village people and lots of disco there was a bit of eighties thrown in as well along with some early nineties hits. That was a good night and it was just so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves and being on cruise almost back to normal 😃

Hi yes very nice and not many people up there. There are sun loungers which are better than the ones on main pool deck, table and chairs and rattan sofas as I like to call them. There is no bar but they do have a few people wandering around to get you a drink or 2. There is someone on the door and you will have to show your cruise card to make sure you are aurea guests. Towels are also provided. There is also a large hot tub for guests too.

Oh wow you have one of those rooms. We had cabin 12010 and the yc duplex next door was empty and the yc person cleaning the rooms let us have a look round. The front is amazing but a bit windy when moving. We had a hot tub too keep the lid on if you can when not using it as the temperature drops and it loses water (evaporation) you'll then have to fill it up and then wait for it to warm up again. Ah your going to have a fab time. 😃

Hi Teri hope you are well! I look forward to reading your report in Yc and your cruise. I'm doing the Fjords next year from Copenhagen on their new Euribia ship in yc in July. I'm going back on the Virtuosa for the 4th time in August and guess what I have succumb to the calling of YC! Yes I know there will be no going back afterwards hence why the next 3 I have booked after that are all in yc! 😂 Have a fabulous trip and hope the weather will be good too 😊

We left from Southampton at the beginning of May and went down and around the canaries stopping Portugal and mainland Spain. Nearly everyone on the ship didn't wear a mask while at sea or onboard the ship in any of the ports. There were few people who did and the staff had their masks on the whole time. The only time we were required to wear a mask was when we entered the terminals and on the tour bus or public transport.

Went on this cruise beginning of Dec last year 2021 and they were starting to put the Xmas decorations up on the ship. That was on the Magnifica and yes it was a rough one so much so we couldn't get into Zeebrugge and had an extra night in Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) instead. Got to Hamburg and it snowed. Anyway that aside I am on the cruise before 23rd Dec from Southampton the 16th Dec and Preziosa is a bigger ship but who knows what the weather will be like. Could be mild or freezing cold or blowing a gale. Was the cruise worth it well I'm doing it again because I love xmas and I went for all the Xmas markets but sadly they were very covid restricted last year. Had to show passes etc and not as many as there would be normally and I really want to go to Bruges which I couldn't do last year. So hoping this year will be better to visit now covid restrictions have relaxed.

My apologies I thought it was all free still in yc. At least I know now for when I get back on ship in Aug in YC. Can I just ask re butlers do they follow you everywhere or can you just say if you need anything you will just go to yc reception and ask. It will be my 1st in yc so a new experience for me. 😊

No unless your in Yc. The mini bar in your cabin will be unlocked and you can help yourself but you will be charged. There is a price list in your cabin. The cabin staff will know exactly what is in there and how many of each.

I know thats what Nick said and the hot tub we said we wouldn't use....it got used nearly everyday! 😁 Our cabin cost just over £3k for 12nights with p.plus drinks plus we had obc too. However this cruise was booked over 2yrs ago and it was on the Magnifica back then but on there the suite would of been the best there was. To us worth every pound. Just need to add on Magnifica I wouldn't of got a hot tub. If this was booked on the Virtuosa it would of been nearer 4k.

Our Aurea suite Balcony was huge see pics. We had 4 friends round and we were all on the balcony with room to spare. The yc duplex suite balcony we saw was a lot smaller taken up by the hot tub. Pic of the front of ship I've highlighted our cabin. The cabin to the right is a yc duplex.

Hi Carol Yes it was worth every penny. It was nice to have a separate bedroom from the living area. Nick had his own walk in wardrobe and it was big enough to put all 3 suitcases in and his clothes and shoes and still have room. I had the big wardrobe in the bedroom. It was nice that we when came back from a tour we could grab a cuppa read the daily programs work out what to do next or just go and sit on balcony or in the hot tub. So going to bed was like home a separate space. We spoke to a YC steward who let us have sneaky look round the duplex next door to us as that was empty and we had a way bigger balcony and our cabin didn't feel so cram in. However having said that if I had 11k to spend on that cruise and have the yc experience then yes it would of been nice to have a duplex suite. It was a great cruise and we would like to do that cruise again and do some different tours etc. I hope your successful on your bid it's nice to have that extra bit of space. So yes go for it! Back on the Virtuosa in August and yes I am going into YC but just a normal balcony in yc! 🌞🥂

You can order off the taster menu even if you don't pre book. So Butchers cut £39pp for 3 courses and we have done Hola! On a all you can eat £17.99pp You can order anything off the menu too. You have to pre book your table though. Hope that makes sense.

We haven't be to that one but we are going to try with our friends Monday night Hola! I've read really good reviews regarding Hola! I will update you on that one on Tuesday.

I've been on this ship 3 times and every time I've been in the butchers cut. I went up there yesterday for a meal by myself as hubby wasn't well.(when I say not well he was badly hungover! 🤭) anyway we are using our diamond freebie on Saturday in the butchers cut with 4 other friends we've met on the ship. Answer to your question I absolutely love the butchers cut. I highly recommend it.

On the Virtuosa now as of the 1st May. No chocolate ship but got a nice box of chocolates. Got our bottle of Prosecco plus macaroons. We still got priority embarkation (We are diamond members and in Aurea)

A lot of people had 10 11 & 12 slots on our cruise and we were still watching people people board after 1 but between 2 & 4 there didn't seem to be anyone else boarding but I wasn't looking all the time. Not sure if everyone was adhearing to their boarding slots though. Msc dont really check. Our cruise is no where near full either, I've yet to get a numbers as boarding has happen today in Lisbon and some people have disembark too. At some point I will find out how many are on board. Anyway we are departing in 10mins and another sea day tomorrow. 🌞😎

Hi Kernow sorry not got back to you cc went a bit weird before we left port I did post but its not on there. Anyway been at sea for 2 days just arrived in Lisbon. I don't use my phone at all on sea days. Embarkation we got on in 45 mins. No covid testing but they were definitely going through the paperwork to make sure you had what was required. We had priority being Diamond and Aurea. 😊
