  1. Hi All: The wife and I need to get our COVID tests for our Alaska cruise on the 28th. Previously (with a different company) we both did this together on the same video chat using the tests they supplied. With Onpoint you supply your own tests. Do I have to purchase 1 or 2 virtual tests? I tried using onpoint's online chat and the response is you may need to purchase 2 but you can do the test together on the same chat. What the BLANK does that mean? Do I only need to purchase one virtual session and maybe they will ask for more money? Bottom line, if you have tested multiple people at the same time with Onpoint did you have to buy multiple virtual testing sessions?
  2. All depends on the airline and ticket class. Booked Air Canada through X and we can not select seats until 24 hrs before flight unless we pay an upcharge.
  3. First time Celebrity. On NCL you could watch anytime before sailing from the point of on-line check-in. So with X you must wait till the day of sailing?
  4. Price is now $16.99. I was holding off hoping Canada to change their policies for our Aug 28 sailing and just went to book...
  5. Ok, so I called X. The regular agent could not help me because the reservations were group reservations. Transferred me to groups. The agent there made sure the reservations were tagged for B2B. As far as the B2B discount she said there isn’t anything they can do because they are group rates with special provisions . If the B2B was to apply the TA must do it and they already told me it wouldn’t apply. At least I know it is flagged as B2B with different rooms…
  6. Unfortunately I booked under group rates and am told the B2B discount does not apply.
  7. Unfortunately I booked under group rates and am told the B2B discount does not apply.
  8. I am told that because the cruises were booked at "group" rates the B2B discount does not apply....
  9. We booked B2 B cruises on the Eclipse Aug 28 and Sept 4. We couldn't get the same room but found a room on the same floor near by for the second cruise. How does X know we are doing B2B? Do I need to do anything in advance to make sure they know? I have attempted to "tie" the two reservations together on the website but it won't let me. I have had to fill out all the "pre boarding" info twice (once for each cruise) including selecting check in times. My hope at the end of cruise 1 is to just move my luggage across the hall in the morning and head out for the day Sightseeing in Vancouver not taking all my luggage through customs, getting a new covid test and getting back in line again. Bottom line X's website and customer service on the phone so far have not impressed me so I am hesitant to believe the systems are smart enough to figure things out...
  10. This is the first time we have done a B2B cruise and would like to spend the day between cruises "touring" Vancouver. Do we have to go through full disembarkation of the first cruise and terminal check-in for the 2nd cruise or can we just "get off" like a normal port and be back to board no later then 30 min before sailing? How does this work? THANKS.
  11. Not so much upset as completely confused. The agent couldn't explain why there were two different prices. She also didn't mention the 20% gratuity until I already gave her my CC for purchase and she gave me a total which was different then what she quoted 2 minutes earlier. Honestly, I don't know if it really is worth it to upgrade given our drinking patterns and am just trying to understand the upgrade cost so I can make an educated decision. Given all the different costs to upgrade being tossed around who knows.... I will admit I like black and white not 50 shades of gray that X's pricing seems to be...
  12. So I called... Two B2B 7 day cruises, same ship. First cruise I am told $113.40P/P (which would be $18/day less the captains club 10%) . Had the agent look up the second cruise I am told $90.93 P/P. I said go ahead and proceed to upgrade the second cruise then I am told the cost is $109.12P/P (20% gratuity added on at checkout. This whole thing is messed up...
  13. I would in general agree with this but the full retail dining prices are more on the Aug 28th sailing then on the Sept 4th so if they are raising prices in general I would think it would be the other way around.
  14. Ok, I get that on some things. but explain to me why on Aug 28 sailing purchasing dining at Murano says $64.90 (I am assuming full price?) and on the Sept 4 cruise before the discount it says regular price (before discount) for the same restaurant is $60. Sorry but I cant believe X is making full price dining a daily variable, maybe the discount given but not the retail price. I am seeing similar things with the listed full price of the same excursion week to week (not talking the variable discount based on capacity)
  15. Sorry to beat a dead horse yet a gain but I am confused. What is the price for the upgrade from Classic to Premium drink package. Several posts have said the upgrade cost is now $20 ($16 something plus 20% gratuity) not $12 (as it used to be) . Berried in X's FAQ's I have found posted the upgrade cost is $18 (no discussion of 20% gratuity upcharge). If I look at my "plan your cruise" Aug 28 cruise I can purchase online for $17.10 and when I put in in my checkout cart there is no markup for gratuity. If I look at my Sept 4 cruise (We are doing a B2B) It says call to upgrade with no option to buy online. SO.... Is the regular price $20/day or $18/day? If I call do I get 10% off for captains club and where does this $17.10 online come from???? Totally confused at the moment with X and pricing....
  16. We are booked on B2B cruises on the Eclipse for Aug 28 and Sept 4. When I go into the website to "plan my cruise" for each week the web sites are completely different between week one and week two. Almost like X redesigned the site and rolled it out for Sept cruises onward and used the old website pre September. While this doesn't bother me the pricing on identical shore excursions, dining, etc sometimes is the same other times drastically different. Is it normal for pricing to be different for the same thing one week tot he next with X?
  17. Thank you. Yes, next month on the Eclipse. Your answer was very thorough. I didn’t realize the $89 option included the wine parings. That makes a lot more sense now…
  18. First time on Celebrity coming up. Have cruised NCL several times and with the speciality restaurants there it is typically one app, soup or salad, main course and dessert. It is clearly spelled out, Looking at Murano I see a 5 course meal at $89 and fix price at $50 but the apps , soup, salad are all under 1 category. At Tuscan grill on the menu there are several categories…. How do the speciality restaurants and courses work on X?
  19. Hi, can you provide a link to where it says that the corkage fee is waived with a beverage package. Everything I have found says $25 for a restaurant. Thanks.
  20. Hi, can you provide a link to this change in allowed bottles? Everything I seem to find when I search explicitly stated 2 bottles per cabin. Thanks.
  21. 2 of the 4 ports of call on our March 6th Getaway Cruise were cancelled "due to weather"... I have emailed guest relations about a prorated refund on port charges/taxes since those are specific to each port of call and I get an automated replay that we will respond to your email in 30 days and please do not try to contact us in the mean time.... What wonderful customer service..... Hs anyone had any luck getting money back from NCL for missed ports?
  22. I submitted my shareholder docs this past Monday for our cruise on the 6th for the $100 onboard credit. Got an automated email we will respond within 24 hrs. Not a word sense. Of course it comes from a “do not reply” email from NCL. Anyone else getting a response?
