  1. I should have added, "never hurts to request it though" for exactly this reason. The combinability terms for ESS said that this was not possible, but obviously it was 😉 O can be a bit unpredictable...
  2. Japan's official tourism website: https://www.japan.travel/en/us/
  3. Are those release dates the dates they are available to browse or to book? Thanks!
  4. The Guest Statement rules when you booked the cruise are the ones that apply to your cruise. The new changes will affect bookings made after Sept 1st.
  5. Please note that the NCLH shareholder OBC is not combinable with some fares (e.g., the recent Extraordinary and Summer sales).
  6. Good catch - I misread. SM=promo fair...fixed 🙂
  7. I think most "avid O lovers" purchase onboard and get a price guarantee so upgrades. sales, and the like are a given (mostly). I will keep my on whether this policy continues.
  8. @Jancruz Can you clarify something for me please? "You cannot move it to another cruise " Does this mean that the deposit cannot be moved to a different cruise, say, 1 year before the booked cruise (i.e, I put a $500 deposit down on cruise1, but one year before my cruise I want to cancel and book a different cruise (cruise2); in this case I would be refunded $350 that I could use toward my new cruise). Thanks!
  9. When we go somewhere with "interesting" diseases, we go to our medical system's travel medicine doctors/nurses. They not only recommend immunizations or meds based on medical knowledge, they also know the various requirements...takes all the guesswork out. Your regular doctor should be able to give you the contact info if travel medicine clinics exist in your area.
  10. @babydrum - just a couple of ideas... I have had some luck finding some reviews on the NCL website (when there is overlap). If the shorex has the exact same name and exact same description I am guessing they are the same operator. Also, if you want to use your SM-OBC on one or two high-cost shorex, you can book some inexpensive (e.g. $79 a la carte price) to get the minimum number for 25% off and sometimes pay less than if you just booked the high-cost one(s). In the past I've found shorex like a 2 hour kayak tour, a walking tour, or a HOHO bus that fits the bill.
  11. Here you go: https://www.oceaniacruises.com/ships/vista/culinary-experiences
  12. You can go back and change your dining reservations at any time up to a deadline (can't remember how far before embarkation). You can change your private tables to shared. Just go to the dining reservation area and click edit reservation for the one you want to change. Click "Share my table with other guests". The SW isn't too bright so it will show all restaurants, not just the one you want to edit; choose "Show Available Dates" under the relevant restaurant. The calendar and process is just like before, but when you choose a new time it will ask if you want to replace your existing rez with the new one. Sharing can be fun, so I recommend trying at least once. Hopefully you get the typically interesting O-crowd. Good luck!
  13. I vaguely remember O saying Riviera is next but would need to find where. There was also some vague reference to the other ships being done on a schedule after that. Ah, here it is https://www.oceaniacruises.com/value Click on "WiFi"... "High-speed Starlink is featured on Vista and will be available on Riviera by the end of 2023. Additional Starlink activations are expected in 2024."
  14. I like the star idea...how about little wine and beer icons for the House package 🍷🍺 and drink icons for the Prestige (did I get the right "P" word?) 🍸🍹
  15. In Terrace (and O/A GDR) it will be espresso from an automated machine. In GDR on R-ships it can be from Baristas at the GDR entry.
  16. Flying from the west it is common to have a redeye that stops part way, like Chicago (or other hub city - Dallas, Atlanta, etc.), when getting the cheapest fare.
  17. Is your shorex pdf available yet? When you have it, there will be a section in the middle-right of the first page that details any SM offers (i.e., 25% off, Unlimited). I don't have any SM cruises booked yet, so I look forward to someone who has a pdf for a SM cruise posting a screenshot of this discount section.
  18. I haven't kept score, but it seems that I've seen a lot of complaints that may be related to crew-turnover issues (e.g., a large percentage of crew are still training).
  19. I would prefer they get rid of that sentence altogether as it states nothing useful and confuses people. Let's see O-communicatin plus O-IT equals confusion; yep, makes sense now.
  20. The 2024 big catalog has GSC listed on day 2: https://www.oceaniacruises.com/emags/2024_Collection_Brochure_Simply_More_US/ That may be where the people on the other site are looking.
  21. The access has nothing to do with the number of devices that are used. There are two logon name-password combos that can be used on 500 devices. You could even use one device and logon twice using different browsers. Devices mean nothing.
  22. I don't think ORV was being snarky. O makes it confusing by using the word "device". He was just clarifying for the new question-asker.
  23. It's been that way since Dec. 2021. I've been able to choose from 11 am to sometime in the afternoon...can't remember if it was in 30 or 15 minute increments.
  24. Very weird not to have the Ultimate shorex package. I wonder if the pdf for people with OLife has Ultimate available. The website lists prices in the Ultimate column and N/As in the 25% column: If the Ultimate shorex package interests you (typically pays off if you do shorex in every port), you can ask. If you are satisfied with your current purchases, then have a great time!
