Thanks. We like to travel light, so I'll plan on doing the laundry myself midway through the trip.

We will be on the American Queen October trip from Minneapolis to New Orleans. I understand there is a self service laundry on board. Is laundry service by the bag available to all passengers, or just for those in suites?

New 4 Star Mariner here. I believe that gives a 50% discount on specialty restaurants. I tried to make an online Tamarind reservation for an upcoming cruise, but the HAL app wanted to charge me full price. When is the discount applied? Also, if I book before the cruise, will the fee will be charged to my credit card?

I am very surprised to hear that. We were on the NS in August and had dinner in Club Orange several times. I didn't think about the dress code when my husband decided to wear shorts one evening. The maitre de quietly reminded us that long pants were required, but he would make an exception. There was certainly no "shaming" involved and it was handled very discretely.

I know Surf blocks streaming. I didn't try Zooming or calling on our last cruise. Didn't mean to say specific sites were blocked, although known porn and pirate websites are probably restricted for all packages.

I know the Premium plan allows access to sites the Surf package blocks. Does the Premium plan provide faster throughput? Does it allow wifi calling?
