  1. I disagree with several of these but want to add one I will never buy again, Bingo! It has wasted too much of my time and money! Never again!! I know others delight in this activity but I have learned my lesson!
  2. I had Faster to Fun for an interior and a Suite last month on Mardis Gras. Faster to Fun does not get to pick a arrival appointment 2 days early. My understanding is they can arrive at any time so it is a moot point. Personally I would not do Faster to Fun again unless we had a tender port. It was a lot of money for very little benefit. It was a better value precovid when the cabins were actually ready when you board. Priorty luggage was a joke and our friends without any prrority boarded 10-15 min after us?
  3. I actually have had different results with this? I was at Chibang on Mardis Gras and tgd drink server asked if I wanted the afire coke or alcohol first? He said he needed to stagger them by 5 minutes. But I have always been able to get an alcoholic drink and a water? They are strict about 2 non alcoholic as well sometimes? Happened at Java Blue when I wanted a water with my coffee?
  4. They give cash to table players instead of funchips. Slots are different.
  5. Not sure they will keep giving them out as much now they they are booking solid? Hoping. Definitely can assume that you won’t continue to get them if you haven’t taken advantage of one yet?
  6. From wh as t I understand they expire at midnight tomorrow. New offers will come out May 2. These casino offers are to try and lure gamblers back. My husband hadn’t been since 2019 and he had a free interior.
  7. I have an easier time with the $999 for the villa. They don’t check the number of people ever so it is great to split between multiple families unlike the cabanas whcich are much smaller (4 people)and less amenities like hot tub and private bath. We had a group of 16 and never paid extra. It really isn’t an issue except for the extra sodas and fins? We easily rotated the snorkeling equipment/floats and the kids don’t drink soda. I locked in the cabana in the 400s but definitely wouldn’t for 699.
  8. It was REALLY nice during our Spring Break cruise. All the cabanas were sold out for the week about 1-2 weeks before sailing. You do get great service in the cabanas. 6 bottled waters, fruit platter and a bottle of champagne daily. Unlimited virgin cocktail’s and dedicated bar server. Lunch delivery, chilled towels, frozen fruit and not to mention never having to worry about a chair. It was a highlight of our spring break cruise. $1750 for week plus gratuity. We split with 2 other couples amd rotated going but staff was flexible during the transitions. In the grand scheme I think it is worth the price especially after the price hikes at Half Moon Cay for cabanas and such. I don’t think my husband could have survived 3 sea days without it. Not to mention Sailaway from up there with your champagne!
  9. They actually split the passengers between 2 ships. Sunshine and maybe Freedom? Not sure if Freedom is correct? I believe they gave Havana guests suites/premium vista cabins? They also had to figure out the spa cabins because the other ship besides sunshine used didn’t have spa cabins. It was xmas and new years sailings right after the restart. It would be interesting to go back to some of those threads now.
  10. Each ship has a •special “ pasta for the captain. My understanding is it is different at Cucina de captinano? The pistachio pasta is only on Mardis Gras?
  11. Even the dreaded broken/oversold clam shells have doubled in price!
  12. We ate a Cucina 2 times on Mardis Gras. The only thing we really liked at chibang was the chicken egg rolls and the lychee cocktail! My daughter ate all off the Mexican side and it wasn’t good. She actually said Blue iguana better? I had kung pao chicken. Flavor was good but chicken kinda chewy? I just don’t think i would pay extra for chibang? I really liked the pistachio pasta at Cucina and the short rib. Definitely could get other non Italian food if you didn’t want pasta. Pork chop looked good as well. We ate at all the pay restaurants on Mardis Gras(Teppanyaki,Steakhouse, Rudis and Emirils) Ineould definitely spend the $8 pp towards one of those restaurants before eating at Chibang again?
  13. I have read different answers to this. Personally I would be scared to try! I actually booked my daughter with my husband in the interior across the hall because he has a “free” interior offer. I was stressing because he was flying in from a buisness trip and I worried what would happen if he didn’t make it. We were driving. People on FB swore they did this with no repricusions but I am glad we didn’t find out. It was mostly couples where one of them suddenly couldn’t go? I honestly don’t think I could show up and worry about not being able to board or getting a surprise bill?
  14. The new $8pp surcharge to eat at chibang a 2nd time will probably make it easier to fry it in the future. Looks like this policy goes into effect next week.
  15. It is starting with the sailing starting this week. I was just on 2 weeks ago and had anytime and it wasn’t the case. Supposedly John Heald confirmed it for Chibang and Mardis Gras for now. Limited to 1 time before the 8pp surcharge.
  16. I think most are just shocked it jumped so much in price? In the last year, the cabanas and villas almost doubled in price. The last price increase was substantially a big hike. I booke a cabana last month due $499. It is now 33 percent more? It is interesting that they still have them available on my August sailing. They usually are never available. I think the. I’ll as and cabanas that are booked now we’re probably booked at the lower price. The true test of the price point will be when they open up for later sailings?
  17. I think the space is smaller than Cucina? Tables felt really close together. I definitely wouldn’t pay $8pp for Chibang! Now we are the 1st night at Cucina on our April 1st cruise. The hostess for Chibang was walking from table to table offering reservations for the 1st formal night there? I wonder if the formal nights will be exempt since it isn’t as popular those nights? Probably going to make formal night even harder to be seated!
  18. I know John has a lot going on but he usually gives a heads up to things like this? Especially after he answers almost daily questions about whether they are still complimentary? Not a big deal for me if just Chibang. Didn’t particularly like it myself. Now if Cucina I would be disappointed!
  19. I went back and checked and they have changed it since the info I was emailed before I boarded April 1? Crazy how they have snuck in another up charge?
