I am a gambler. I never got great deals before Covid. They leaned in hard to gamblers during the restart because of kids not having vaccines available for so long. Less families. They offered my husband a free interior for our spring break cruise and he hasn’t cruised since 2019. We are putting my daughter and her friend there. I took my son last summer on a free oceanveiw offer and now have a free balcony this time. They have found a captive audience and they must feel that we lose enough to make this worthwhile? I have 3 more booked through May 2024.

I had never gotten the drinks everywhere offer until the start back after Covid. Got free oceanveiw, 200 Funplay and drinks everywhere for me and took my 19 yo son for a mother/son trip. I gave him my funplay $ and he proceeded to get 4 of a kind on 3 different table games. Came home with $2500. I proceeded to lose the whole trip! Now I get free oceanveiw, 500 funplay and drinks everywhere for me. But the now underage 20yo gets free interior, 1000 Funplay and drinks everywhere for him and a companion! He can’t even book himself! We were betting the same amounts? I think they want the winnings back?

I have read that they will do a standard grilled cheese at the Panini place? Maybe someone can comfirm? Also I think they have fries?

Just got comfirmation from John Heald that there have been glitches and that everything is still there. Feel better now.

I tried logging into my account and my husbands and all our bookings have disappeared. We have 2 cabins on Mardis gras next month and they are paid in full and missing. It keeps redirecting me to add a booking but they are not there? Praying it is just an IT issue?

I know it was reported that suites were able to use the faster guest services line on the Mardis Gras. I even saw the images of the sign. I am curious if this has been eliminated now that faster to fun has returned? I would love someone who has recently been aboard an XCel ship to report if suites are still included?

We put our teens in a Havana interior. They honestly weren’t interested in going there. None of the friends they made on the ship had access.

You aren’t charged in the last day but I have used it to get specialty coffee and even a mimosa in the dining room. If you are in port, you will pay taxes though.

Final payment was due back in early January so any unclaimed blocks should have already been released.

I have been booked on Mardis Gras since September for that week. I actually noticed before final payment in January that all the 3 and 4 person cabins were gone. I think it has to do with lifeboat capacity. I am assuming they will be at max capacity that week. It would s school break for a lot of families do it makes sense that the 3 and 4 person cabins went first. We actually always book 2 cabins and put our teens across the hall. It usually comes out cheaper or close to the same price as being in the same cabin cramped.

17 year olds can be in their own room as long as an adult( over 25) is within a few cabins as a chaperone. It should not be a problem as long as the reservations are linked. You actually can book 12-17 year olds in separate cabins as long as they are close enough to the chaperones.

I know that. They limit everyone to 15 even if not Cheers. Just did not want to waste any of the 15 on the island if I have to pay extra?

I was curious if they count the purchases on Half moon towards the 15? I would hate to order drinks there and then get cut off on the ship for drinks I already purchased with the Cheers? I also wondered if they sell buckets of beer at HMC and how much? Definitely do not want to spend more than needed ashore?

I have noticed some menu changes at Shaqs and Emirills that I am glad I noticed before boarding. Shaqs now no longer has the Uncle Jerome and the Emirills menu is also very paired down. Especially at breakfast. I was looking forward to the sweet potato waffles but they are not on Mardis Gras anymore. Still on the menu on Celebration. I wonder if enough people ask for items back it could resume?

How was it? We are debating all the beach clubs along that stretch?

I was wondering if anyone did the Carnival excursion Cabana rental in Mahogony bay and were able to bring extra people for a fee? I have seen extra people added at Half Moon but it is not listed as an option in Roatan. Thanks

We always have to go get extra keys. We book in separate cabins to spread out the casino rewards and then put teens in extra cabin.Buy Faster to Fun though.

I was so mad at my teen daughter when she lost her Sail and Sign card on the last day. Thank goodness we had Faster to Fun but still a very long line.

I am in a Facebook group an someone is convinced that these will not be free much longer? She said her PVP( who works for Carnival and she has used for years). I personally don’t see how they can handle Your time dining in the regular dining rooms on these ships. Definitely a design flaw that would take alor to fix? I definitely don’t think her info is accurate but wondering if anyone has heard something close?

We had 5205 interior and 5207 cabana. Perfect location for less traffic in front of the cabana. We were also far enough from the bands in ocean Plaza or Havana. The square interior is a hidden gem. No noise and seems better laid out for space.

I have been to Cozumel numerous times but have never seen Punta Sur. I am looking for an excursion there for our trip in April. We did a Jeep excursion already that included San Gevvasio, snorkeling and Tequilla factory so not looking to do those again. Most of the tours I am seeing have those. I would love some recommendations.

We visited this Beach Club a decade ago and had a blast. I know Jamie has moved on to his own place. Anyone visit recently? Is it still as nice as we remember?Should we try Jamies instead? My husband still raves about Nohochs ceviche.
