Fully open and been like that for quite a while. Was in thermal SPA on Virtuosa in May and then again in October this year.

Nope, don't understand that argument at all, surely people would ask in the Aus P & O forum if they want to book a cruise with them, even if they aren't from Australia, I'm sure its been asked before. For example after a very quick search: Same as people come here to ask about how to book a UK P&O from abroad.

You can charge to your cruise card for both tables and machines. Onboard Currency will be pounds sterling £ for MSC out of Southampton during the summer season.

If you've booked ABP, more than likely they will direct you to the Horizon Car park anyway, as they run both, so can easily switch round if needed. My advice just follow the directions given to you on entering Dock Gate 10, that leads to both terminals
-
Yes they are next to each other, maybe two minutes' walk between them

I was going to post a link to the protocols but website is down, check msccruises website for ireland and you should be able to find the health and safety protocols Travel Requirements Mediterranean | MSC Cruises
-
Are you sure you need a test ? MSC is changing its protocols from 1st of Oct (except it seems for our USA friends) that if your fully vaccinated its only advised but not required to do a test.

NEW TERMINAL ( SOUTHAMPTON) HORIZON TERMINAL.
defbref replied to so,ton saint's topic in MSC Cruises
The app and paperwork has always said city terminal even though they have now swapped to Horizon, its not too much of a problem as they are right next door to each other. They do use Horizon now, but occasionally they have to use city as already a ship booked at horizon, for instance on the 16th October this year, they are using City as NCL have Horizon on same day. -
Is there any hope MSC will relax European testing protocols?

What timing ! I just checked on Travel Requirements Mediterranean | MSC Cruises and they are relaxing requirements from 1st October, No longer require full vaccination, but recommended Vaccinated no longer require testing, but recommended. -
Would you go to Cancun during spring Break? Thats sort of what San Antonio will be like.

Thats not the lift the OP is referring to, that's the general lifts for all not the one within Yacht club, its not labelled on any of the deck plans but I believe its to the right of cabins 14011 and 14013.

Yes

Antigen is a LFT MSC Europe do not currently require a observed test, just a certified one (Experience from 3 MSC europe cruise in past 4 months). Use a 'at home' fit to fly test with a provider like Randox and just do it in your hotel room, takes about 15 minutes after upload to get certificate back. However things are changing rapidly in the cruise world at moment regarding testing with most other lines relaxing/removing procedures, you don't say when you sail, but don't be surprised if things change in the next few weeks.

Presumably its expecting a UK post code and not a US (?) zip code. What happens if you ignore and it and leave it blank ?

British Isles cruise from Southampton ,, help!!
defbref replied to DONNAKG's topic in Princess Cruises
That is correct but Guernsey, Cork, Dublin and Paris are not in the UK, but still no covid tests required in those places either for the cruise the OP is undertaking -
I was under the impression it was the browse only, as well, but when I was in the Med in YC on Grandiosa in May, I did watch some youtube on my phone, which I wouldn't have expected to be able to do, if it was browse only. Yes I was on Wifi and not using my own mobile network. YMMV
-
Yes I did YC at Southampton back in May and doing it again in October. Look for the white tent outside to drop your bags off, then you will be escorted thru security to the upstairs area where you will be offered a drink while they check you in. Then Butler escort to the Topsail for a welcome cocktail. Process took 20 minutes from leaving car to cocktail in Topsail back in May.
-
If your leaving from Southampton's Horizon Terminal (MSC usual terminal), then I believe the AUREA line doesn't start until after security, so you still have to queue with everybody else initially. YC do get escorted to front of queue for security and they then also have a separate area for check in up the stairs.

Its buried in the FAQ under what documents do I need to bring: At terminal check-in guests must provide proof of a negative medically observed viral COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken before or at embarkation. CruiseHealth™ FAQ: Sailings from the the United Kingdom - Princess Cruises I had to read every single thing on the website to find this. If its that hard to find, I don't blame people getting confused

Which train line, London to Edinburgh?
defbref replied to Sheltieluv's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
Rail carriages are labelled on the outside, however depending on your ticket you may not have a seat reservation. Open tickets (where you can use any train) by necessity don't have a reservation for example. And don't worry we don't bite, asking somebody at the station can go a long way to help you board. -
Which train line, London to Edinburgh?
defbref replied to Sheltieluv's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
There's no check in or airport like security for trains in UK. You just turn up at the station with your ticket at the appropriate time (no need to arrive hours before like airport) find the platform for your train and then board the train when it arrives. At Kings Cross and Euston, you will have to show your ticket at a gate to the platform, other stations there's no check of tickets until your on the train and the conductor checks. Also its down to you to deal with your luggage, there's no porters. You can book porters if you have a disability or other pressing need for help, but for fit passengers your on your own. Each carriage will usually have space for luggage, but it is limited, so if the train is full it may be difficult to find space for it. First Class doesn't generally have this problem as its rarely full. Note there's various types of tickets you can get, buying advance tickets is usually cheaper, especially if you buy for a specific train to travel on rather than an open ticket.
