  1. To the best of my recollection, I think all the celebration night menus in the MDRs and Chef's Table both feature Marco Pierre White. In April on Arvia we ate in the Chef's Table and our lass had the Beef Wellington. I'm not sure if it featured on the MDR menu on the same night, but she did have it in January in the MDR, also on Arvia.
  2. Further to the above, when we were on Arvia we used the wheelchair spaces and companion seats at the back, accessed from deck 7. I believe also there were wheelchair spaces right at the front too, accessed from deck 6. I would expect the same layout exists on Iona. As has already been stated, there is no facility to book wheelchair spaces or accessible seating.
  3. I wrote taxi from the airport; I meant from the train station.
  4. The laundry is where it all happens. Gossip central, it is! 😉
  5. Yes, it is. On our January cruise is was full all the time. I'm not sure if it was P&O's intention to start charging once Arvia had been cruising a while or, because it was so popular, they have seen it as an opportunity for yet more nickel and diming. To be fair, I tried it once, s#@t my pants, so won't bother again.
  6. More or less; the main difference being that it has paired wines for each course. To be fair, the food we had was the same as we had eaten previously on a celebration night in Zenith (Arvia). My review of it is HERE
  7. They appear to be tightening up on folk that arrive early to try and get onboard ahead of their allotted time. As Cloudyrain writes, you will likely be put in a holding queue; for you that will be the seated area on the ground floor of the terminal building, not in the snaking queue outside. You may be lucky in that, if you can manage your partner's wheelchair and your baggage yourself, you may get sent directly upstairs to check-in. That happened to us in April when we were about an hour early. If you don't already know, a taxi from the airport should be about £10 or less. If your partner can transfer, I would recommend a company like Radio Taxis who, although don't readily have fully accessible vehicles, will be able to provide an estate or large vehicle. We were quoted £25 for a wheelchair accessible van from another company, which is outrageous.
  8. Further to the above, I have just checked an old Horizon from April. It show the prices as £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children. It gives no details of age or height restrictions.
  9. As purple sea writes, there is a charge; it is £8 for an adult. It was free when we sailed on the maiden TA in January; perhaps that was just to see how popular it would be.
  10. In my opinion, the only thing that the Chef's Table has for it is that you can book from home and know you have a fixed dining time. Other than that, I can find nothing else that would redeem it for us. Tried once, won't again. I don't want to put you off though, if you fancy it in the future.
  11. That's a good idea John and would be achievable, but I think the P&O IT team would put it in the too hard to do tray. Let's face it, some things that should be simple, they can't even get right. Even if they couldn't or wouldn't roll something like that out, I would welcome them allowing the reservation of the wheelchair spaces and companion seats, and somehow make that available to those that have notified them ahead of special assistance. But again, that'll go in the same tray.
  12. For a second there, I thought that was one of ICF's photos.🤭
  13. That's the one that I wanted to attend last month, with the same guy, but it was cancelled on the day.
  14. On our cruise, 10th to 17th June, it is yet another former X-Factor participant, Joe McElderry.
  15. I know happy v has replied at post #139, but just to expand on that: If you book a speciality restaurant for which there is a single charge for the whole experience, you get a 20% discount. So, Epicurean, which is currently £30, will be discounted to £24. As happy v writes, if the price onboard for the Limelight Club is £35, it will be discounted to £28. After that initial discount you then get your Peninsular discount. For those restaurants that only require a deposit, examples being Sindhu and Green & Co. (Arvia) where the deposit is £10, you only get the Peninsular discount. However, once you are at the restaurant, you get an additional 20% off all food items. We've found this works well at Sindhu, where some of the dishes can be about £10 or more.
  16. You can do either; book one and pay for it, or put them all in your basket and pay at the end. I prefer to do the former.
  17. And our lass calls me a hoarder!🤭 My excuse of "it'll come in" doesn't wash with her anymore.🙄
  18. I've just gone on to check and the only slots that are left now are 18:00 and 21:00, and only for three or more guests. That just shows how popular it is. I've just checked the regular booking schedule, and on each day the last sitting is 21:30. I had a reminder set on my calendar for the dining reservations opening today. I was going to check first thing this morning, but was still awake after midnight so thought I would have a look. Just as well I did; we both would have been so disappointed if we had missed it. My advice to you is don't go to bed early the night before yours are due to open, and keep checking after midnight.
  19. I always bring the Horizons home with me, I'm a little bit sad like that. Remind me again when I return.
  20. I hope then for your sake that a lot of them stay onboard and don't impact on your sightseeing. By the way, I've started a thread about something right up your street.... the Norwegian tasting menu.
  21. Yes, me too. I wasn't bothered about the replacement as we didn't watch any of the shows in the 'leisure centre'.
  22. I wouldn't have thought the Fjords was a popular place to take young kids. Unless of course it's on the parents' bucket list and they are dragging their offspring along.
  23. That was one of the ones I was looking at, 21 or 22 nights from Valletta; I didn't realise it was a repositioning cruise. So, is Tenerife Azura's base for the winter?
  24. By 'eck, hasn't that week flown (or rather sailed) by? It's been good reading your posts, and that you've also reported on some of the poorer aspects. I'm glad you've had a generally positive experience; we're looking forward to much of the same in a couple of weeks. Have a safe trip home.
  25. For us, it's a no for Limelight this trip; the fella that's on, a former X Factor winner, isn't our cup of tea. As soon as we get to the terminal I'll be logging on to the app to try and book the 710 club.
