  1. I don't know how you do it. I can do 15, but not do 15 and get up as early as you did today.
  2. You guys need to stop this nonsense right NOW! When you are getting off we will be getting on and you guys are sucking up all the good luck.
  3. That's not what she wanted on her vacation. Hope she's OK.
  4. And I bet you prayed they would stop changing the names of the countries. Zimbabwe / Rhodesia Upper Volta / Burkina Faso Ghana / Gold Coast Zanzibar / People’s Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar Dahomey / Benin Republic Congo / Republic of Zaire
  5. No glasses on our September, October, December, January, or February 2022/2023 Glory cruises. Back, before that, when I asked on CC if it were everywhere I just got told I'm entitled. So it might just be Glory.
  6. Ain't gonna happen. Glory stopped putting glasses in the bathrooms over a year ago. The first day one of our scavenger hunt tasks is to go by Lido and pick up a couple of the drink station plastic cups.
  7. Oh! I have used it contrary to the manner it is commonly used around here:
  8. One of my pet peeves are the couples where one gambles while the spouse sits next to them just watching and taking a machine out of play. I've seen some couples constantly do this over multiple nights. Those lost puppies with no self identity are so pathetic. Those are the folks who put the chair in your room in the position you found it.
  9. Seeing as how you are drinking bourbon I'll mention they have Woodford Reserve. That is my steady drink on Glory.
  10. We came across David on our last cruise. Every drink he made for me or my wife knocked us on our behinds big time. Might have been because he knew we were friends of Randy and Jenny though. How's that one?
  11. It is supposed to be when the ship gets three miles from the nearest land. Louisiana's boundary is only three miles out.
  12. I can't claim to be an expert on the matter but I don't think "bless his heart" is meant to be used in an exercise of criticism in the usual sense. Some people, through no fault of their own and with no malice or ill intent, have unfortunate characteristics. Around here "bless his heart" is used in recognizing that the person is good and means well but has such an unfortunate characteristic. The best example I can think of at the moment was with my mother in law years ago. A family member had plans to open a restaurant. I recall my MIL saying something like "You know he's a disaster in the kitchen. He almost cut his fingers off a bunch of times and they've had food poisoning from his cooking more than a few times. He can't cook to save his life, bless his heart."
  13. To paraphrase many on CC: What’s changed? Cutbacks Change! Are you resistant to change? I hope not. That would make you a privileged, entitled person seeking to abuse the poor hardworking crew by expecting them to do things no person should be expected to do. They already work so hard and you want them to work harder to provide you food at night? You do realize it is all your fault, don’t you? You should have gone by the deli and Pirate Pizza during the day and brought food back to your room for times like this. 😇
  14. We also did a lot of sailings under the Plan Now Pay Later offer that had drinks everywhere for me but my wife only had her standard drinks while playing in the casino. To buy cheers for the spouse you have to wait until you are on the ship. But check that they have not given it to your spouse before you do that. On our cruise last month when she went to buy her first drink they told her she had drinks everywhere. I may be possible that since all their offers lately have been drinks for both everywhere, along with the fact they have dismal drinks service at the machines in the casino, that they have quietly converted the spouses to drinks everywhere. But, whatever the case, have the spouse order the first drink to find out and if they don't have drinks everywhere you can buy it then.
  15. We often see amazingly high point totals and it us usually persons with ovaries. I know for a fact the casino is a bad investment. I only see two reasons for those super high point totals: 1. Laundry drug money, 2. A last pre-divorce sexual act performed upon the unsuspecting spouse.
  16. It has been a year or so since they last put glasses in the bathrooms on Glory. Just another cutback. But the beach towel should be there. Let your attendant know in case they try to charge you for it when you leave.
  17. One of our laments is that since we stopped booking suites and moved on to balcony rooms we no longer have a chair with arms, just a stool. We REALLY like a chair with arms but that chair looks like it could use a steam cleaning.
  18. It's a problem but folks those other folks were too polite and considerate to say anything.
  19. You are lucky! Three quarters of the time they never make the announcement. Now, will they put out ashtrays? On our last Glory cruise (last month) they really rationed ashtrays everywhere. Each day I would find a clean ashtray, or a lightly used that I took to the bathroom and washed, and put it in my back pocket for the many times their rationing left me without.
  20. That looks like the casino bar. Jenny and Randy are our two favorite bartenders these days and we hope to see them again very soon in that casino. Occasionally met David on our last cruise. Don't know if he will regularly be at the casino bar, but he makes STRONG drinks. You might also come across Maria there. Came across her last cruise and we think we remember her from the days the Dream sailed out of New Orleans. She has black rim glasses and my mnemonic device for remembering her name back on the Dream was "take a letter Maria." The Glory casino bartenders are our favorites.
  21. But seriously, you are wise to ask if anyone else has had the experience. We haven't but would not without knowing it is a regularly done thing. Carnival reps often don't give good information. I would be afraid they would refund in future cruise credit. They are not big on giving back cash these days.
