  1. Where would you switch to and go? Mr. Sanchos, Playa Maya, Paradise Beach, etc. are all along the same stretch of beach on the west side. If one club has seaweed they all have seaweed. Just go and enjoy yourself. If the seaweed is too bad, Nachi has a phenominal pool area.
  2. I'd book Sting Ray City on your own . Better experienced on a boat with 10-20 people versus a double decker Carnival excursion with hundreds. (swimming with the stingrays at that sandbar is by FAR my favorite excursion I've ever done.) Everytime we've gone, I watch the Carnival boat unload and reload all those people and they waste most of their time at the sandbar getting on and off the boat, while our smaller group spends all that time with our guide, less people and the rays. I'd head over to the Grand Cayman board and see which recommended vendors are still running after the restart.
  3. Used to be a little hut, just through the gates that would stamp it for you. With all the construction at the pier currently, I'm not sure. If you're ever in Grand Cayman with him, they have the best passport stamp right at the pier. A peg legged pirate turtle.
  4. We enjoyed the daypass at the BCH a couple of times, but it was nice lounging by the pool and using the facilities. I'd make sure the pool and other facilites are available and not just that tiny stretch of beach and a few loungers.
  5. I took a boat excusion out from Nachi Cocu m and had a great time. Had a HUGE (I think it was a grouper) swim up behined me and scare the crap out of me. (and as an almost 300 lb guy, most fish don't freak me out) If you are on a western itinerary, MUCH better snokeling in Roatan, Belize and Grand Cayman. I use Cozumel for a relaxing beach day.
  6. I knew somebody would know.. So I guess as lonmg as they leave Freeport by tomorrow afternoon, all should be good for for June 11th sailing. (or at least keep working throughout that cruise)
  7. How many HOURS does it take to get from Freeport back to Florida?
  8. Ardastra Gardens was alot of fun. (definitely time a parrot feeding and the flamingo show) Pirate museum was OK at best. (and I'm a pirate nerd) Tons of fun stuff to do in Nassau. Done my own walking tours many times. As much as possible I head to the Graycliff to check out the gorgeous old hotel and pick up some of their nice cigars next door. Go see Fort Fincastle and the Queen's Staircase and Govenor's mansion a few blocks walk from the pier. Dying to try a daypass at ther new Margaritaville resort. (will miss the old British Colonial Hilton next door, was a good day pass) Never beem to Cable Beach but hear it is very nice. Tried riding over to Atlantis over 2nd time in Nassau and will never go back. The Aquariums were ok, but everything else is super fake (disneyesque) and waaaay overpriced. (I remember getting a a tiny cup of mac andf cheese for $12 over a decade ago.) I always feel bad for folks who stay on the ship or just walk a block over to Bay St. or Atlantis and then state how bad Nassau is. If you get away from the pier and try to see something real in Nassau, it is a great place.
  9. It has been awhile. Thats why I threw that in there. I know its been hit by a few storm,s since I was there last, so I assume some may be gone. We always get a cabana down close to the restrooms. (like 11-13ish i think) Always had a bunch of trees and hammocks around us.
  10. On You Tube try searching : The Best beach for snorkeling in Mahahual costa maya mexico. The video is by NTN treasure hunter and shows the reef area by the lighthouse with drone footage. I'd link it for you but You Tube dooesn't work with either browser on my computer.
  11. Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan or even Cozumel if any of them are on your cruise. Found great snokeling before at all 4. Best I've heard tallked of in Costa Maya is some coral area by the lighthouse. Haven't personally tried it out.
  12. There are trees all over the place. Had plenty of shade all around the cabanas we've rented. Hammocks hanging between the trees. Dont remember any umbrellas, just the clamshells.
  13. Yeah that would be quite a ride out to any of the beach clubs from downtown. (docked at Ponta Langosta our first time in Cozumel, while they were still building Carnival's Puerta Maya pier.) For only two of us, the snall crowds and facilities are worth the price, but I can see where it would get prohibitive for a family, between the AI cost and $20+ cab ride each way. I hope somebody has a suggestion similar, closer to town that would be a better value for you and allow you and your family to have your best beach day.
  14. I don't get people who like to go to the casino on a cruise. I don't get people who lay by the crowded, hot, disgusting pool all day. I don't get people who play BINGO on a cruise. I don't get people who take dancing or towel animal classes on a cruise. That is the beauty of a cruise, they offer a VARIETY of things to do to make everyone happy.
  15. Where do live in Turkey? We lived in Adana while my Dad was stationed at Incirlik. Miss the food there sooooo much. For relaxation in Cozumel, I can't recommend Nachi Cocum enough. Gorgeous facilities, fantastic meal included in the price, plus drinks. We aren't huge drinkers, but to us, Nachi Cocum is worth the price for the peace and quiet and gorgeous beach and pool. They have a strict limit of visitors each day, so it rarely ever gets loud or busy. (been to Nachi at least 4 times and only once did it get even slightly loud on a full day, for just a few minutes. Definitely not a pumping music party place) It is like a 15-20 minute cab ride to get there and then back.(from Carnival or RCCL's pier next door) I think the price is still $17-20 for up to 4 people each way. If you are looking for the most inexpensive, closest to the piers spot, then Money Bar is probably a good choice.I believe it has a rocky shore versus sandy beach. Hope you find a place that tuens into your perfect beach day, like we have with Nachi Cocum.
  16. Be careful with the free beaches. I have been researching Bimini for our cruise in September. The one you can catch for free from the tram from the ship, I think it is Paradise beach, (not positive) It has no facilities available, which was made abundantly clear in multiple videos I found on You Tube. Also, one video mentioned they spent $75 to rent 2 longers and an umbrella from a vendor there. So unless you are a throw a towel on the sand all day person this might be a deal breaker. Apparently there are other frree beaches on the island further from the port, but I haven't seen any mentions of facilities and such. Only videos of the gorgeous looking beaches and that you needed to rent a golf cart to get there. Best of luck in your research. I'm hoping somebody that has been there has other options,
  17. Looking like might have to stay on the ship, as apparently nobody is using Almaplena anymore....😟
  18. Not charging people for medical assistance they needed over something the crew created woulkd be an obvious step, before trying to buy peoples; silence.
  19. Like how in the video you had until tonight at 9PM to decide to take the offer before you could seek medical advice about the fumes.
  20. Thank You 1kaper for cleaning that up
  21. Not having been boosted only changes the amount of days before your cruise to get a nagative test. The child will only have two days before the cruise instead of three. No biggie.
  22. Wharever the Legend is, Spirit class I think. Much, MUCH , better than any other class I have been on. (I think Mardi Gras is the only one I haven't been on yet) Space on board per passenger was amazing. Never felt crowded like you do on the newer ships.
  23. I used to always take a few boxes of cheerios to feed the fishes while snokeling. Sad to heaR that is no more. Weird. I would think after Covid, individual boxes of cereal would be safer than a shared large container.
