  1. We take an accordion file folder and label the dividers with each day of the cruise. The accordion file fits into a drawer or can sit on a table.
  2. We are looking forward to a relaxing cruise. We don’t drink, hubby won’t dance and we just enjoy people watching. Looking forward to 10 days in a PH on the renovated Marina. Space is important to us since we do spend a lot of time in our cabin.
  3. We are never “on time”. We like to arrive 10-15 minutes before appointments or dinner reservations. Showing up late shows a distinct lack of respect for the other persons time and is rude. JMHO.
  4. As soon as we hit the 365 day mark for excursions we booked them. I need easy tours that do not require much walking.
  5. A few years ago we booked Silhouette at an unbelievably low price. We paid deposit. A few days later we got a call from X stating that the price had been adjusted to a much higher price. We inquired why the price wasn’t being honored the CS Rep said “you have cruised X before and you should have know that the price was an error”. Cancelled the booking.
  6. My AMEX offer is 20,000 Membership Reward points for $1000 purchase.
  7. We are Elite and could care less about points. We sad bye bye to X after a cruise in March on Summit that was so bad that we given $$$ FCC’s before departing the ship. We are leaving the FCC’s on the table and have moved on (Oceania here we come)!
  8. On a 10 day cruise, do you know when the Captain’s Reception is?
  9. I just bought a long gown for our November Marina cruise. What restaurant should I book so that I can enjoy my food AND my dress. Hubby will wear a black suit (he’s leaving the tux home). TIA for your suggestions for this newbie!
  10. The experience onboard X today is nothing like it was on 2019. Cost cutting measures over the past few years have diluted the brand.
  11. We booked our excursions December 2023 for our November 2024 cruise. Availability was good.
  12. After a terrible experience in a Celebrity Suite on Summit last march we cancelled our 12/23 cruise on Reflection. We left a very small deposit on the table. X provided compensation in the form FCC’s of a significant amount. We have moved on to Oceania (2 cruises booked) which was a non-brainer. Our PH on Oceania (10 days) cost less than an 8 day on Reflection and included free wifi, shoreex credit and OBC.
  13. We toured with Dora in Cartagena, Columbia and it was the highlight of our cruise!
  14. Money can’t buy you class…or good manners!
  15. Helipad sailaways were one and done for us. Very crowded, very windy and no shade. YMMV but we now let the concierge know in advance that we are passing on a helipad invite and hope they substitute other pax in our place.
