  1. Loved Riga. Like Tallinn on a grander scale. Skagen is lovely too. Wish they would do Frederica more. It is wonderful.
  2. Lots of lovely destinations in the Baltic. Good to see them instead of the usual suspects for a change.
  3. From your glowing reports, thought you were already on the P&O payroll!
  4. You can with Early Saver but it is not guaranteed. However, on the rare occasions I have booked Saver and not got my preferred dining I have been able to change it once on board. No problem.
  5. Many dislike airports and flying and like sea days and longer cruises. Each to their own!
  6. Done several Adriatic cruises from Southampton. Doing one from Southampton in May on Arcadia. No wish to fly.
  7. Yes, of course you can use it. Just not necessary to take it and they prefer a card, particularly Denmark.
  8. Going to Norway soon. Not taking any cash as they don't like it. Lots of places here won't take cash either, even cafe's, car parking machines, are going that way.
  9. Precisely! Rum Therapy is legend in St Lucia and looked forward to by regular cruisers (and crew). Let's face it, there is not much else by way of entertainment in port. Castries is pretty dull.
  10. If the two adults only ships went, surely Ventura would be more obvious for the replacement. A bit smaller, and older, than Britannia and based in Southampton. Perfect for me as one of my favourites.
  11. Have seen some stunning national dress worn by Asian ladies (and men), and a man in a dress kilt can look very good with the right legs.
  12. I certainly would. She has an adults only pool and bar and Ventura has a quiet adults only area by The Retreat. Do Iona and Arvia have adults only spaces?
  13. Pointe Seraphine is the new terminal, with shops, bars and entertainment. The town is not the most attractive or interesting place IMO. Rum Therapy is such fun, most of the crew and passengers end up there and they usually have to send staff ashore to drag people out when the ship sails!
  14. Because it is so wide. Agree about the big screens. Hate them and they are so loud they can be heard all over the ships.
  15. Probably similar act to La Voix who is very popular too.
  16. The promenade decks on old ships tend to be wide and covered so can be used in all weathers. No sunbathers in the way!
  17. You don't need a tuxedo or even a suit. Trousers, shirt, tie and a jacket will be fine. As long as you look smart. Please relax, don't worry and enjoy your holiday.
  18. Lucky you, berthed at Seraphine ( the town side is horrible!). Rum Therapy is the place to go!!
