Thank you for the Daily and Fleet report, and the Dailyites’ posts, contributions and photos. It will be a cold Halloween 🎃👻 for little neighborhood ghosts, goblins, Barbies and Super heroes here tonight. After this summer’s weeks ( months !) of 100 degree days, I actually had to turn the heat on this morning! A brisk 47 to wake us up, will be down to 38 tonight. Comfortable 60s for highs, Treat, and not a Trick for me! Boarding the Harmony of the Seas tomorrow in Galveston, for a quick 4-day getaway. Happy Halloween and be safe. Best wishes for all in need, and smiles to all with good news and celebrating.

what a great photo, @Quartzsite Cruiser ! Thanks so much for sharing! Your photo looks like the view we had in our area, but had no way of getting a photo. I think we were in the 85 % zone. I agree with you, it sure made our house dark inside. while we were out back viewing the progression of the eclipse, I saw a ring camera notification that someone was at the front door. It was a policeman with dispatch on his radio, saying someone called 911 from our address. He peeked in and saw … a dark house. To make it worse, he had not removed his sunglasses 😎. I explained none of us called, as we were all out back watching the eclipse - and that was why it was so dark inside. Dispatch told him the name of the person who called, and none of us knew that name. Apparently we had been SWATted. Policeman told dispatch call didn’t come from our house. We will surely remember this phenomenon (and being SWATted) for a long time.

Good Friday morning, and thanks for the Daily and Fleet report! some good days today. I am guilty of silly sayings and bad puns. But if it brings a smile to someone’s face, it’s all good, Regardless, a little silliness makes my day better. National sight day is timely. For those in the Northwest down through Corpus Christi, you are in for a treat tomorrow morning for the Ring of Fire eclipse. Please protect your Sight with iso. Certified solar glasses. I’m headed to Lowes this morning for mine. The rain stopped before we departed Vancouver last night, and a few dozen of us were up on deck as we proceeded under the Lion’s Gate Bridge. Wow, loved it! I’m thinking about taking a taxi to Pike Place Market - but not sure where to get a taxi back to port. Anyone have an idea? Uber probably @Quartzsite Cruiser, hope your drive to Dallas is smooth, and DH procedure goes well. @Haljo1935 that is cold - and ice in the river already 😱 Brrrr. @smitty34877 prayers and hugs. I had to smile when reading the history section - “That’ll Be The Day” seems a fitting song Title for our Daily thread. 🎶 I just checked the App for my flight to Vancouver tomorrow. I thought I’d booked a noon flight. What a surprise (ugh) to discover it departs at 9:30 am. I’ve about a 2 hour trip to Houston IAH, with parking and shuttle time included. So I have to hit the road early tomorrow. Wishing all health and peace, and a wonderful start to your weekend,
