thank you for your replies, we are deciding....

I just flew home from FLL this past Thursday February 8th with an AC flight at 11:20. Was in the first group to get off ship that is crucial and checked in at airport 8:19.   Had almost 3 hours to spare. Airport usually not busy that time of day.  We docked at 6 but luggage was still being delivered to pier so had to wait a few minutes for all the group #1 luggage.

My husband is near the discount age (I'm not). I told him once he turns the age to claim seniors discounts he's doing the shopping - save every $ we can get lol

Got the seniors discount for the cruise I'm on now.

Just one in each bag 😉😁🍷

I'm on Ruby Princess at the moment brought 2 bottles onboard (only 1 allowed also)  and a third given to me by the TA I booked with a really fabulous Shiraz which isn't on their menu.

You’re right. Some will have moved on.

So I always thought there were senior discounts for fares. I’ve finally made the age and want in! 😂

I've already moved on done 2 princess cruises in the past year. Celebritys price for same itinerary and cabin category was twice the price for 10 nights. Granted I think the Celebrity experience is better overall but I wouldn't say twice as good.  I will be on the Beyond next month another 10 nighter which I booked long ago so I'll be doing a lot of comparisons.

Their internet, beverage package and so called premier packages are more than Celebrity.

Thats not true about the internet package. I'm on a princess cruise right now and paid $75 for the 10 nights and the speed is very fast Celebrity cant even come close to their Medallion net package. The price has gone up now to $12.50 a night but I bought it hours before the price hike.  Can't comment on drink packages as I rarely purchase it

Can anyone confirm if the wine bottle allowance on embarkation  is two per person or two per stateroom? The advice in this thread is conflicting.

    Thanks in advance.

Its 1 per person. Not enough IMO.

Assuming that’s the Anderson Valley? IMHO, it’s very good. Fairly dry, a little fruit but not fruit forward. A very nice representation of Sonoma County. I don’t know what you normally drink. If it’s Meomi, for instance, Goldeneye is going to be very different.

Yes its the pinot from Anderson valley. I usually buy La Crema but the one from Russian River or Willamette valley. Also Belle Glos is another favorite don't like Meiomi.

They're both Pinot Noir. They're just "California" and not any specific AVA. So the fruit can be sourced anywhere in California. The requirement is 75% of the varietal to call it that varietal. They're certainly not among the better Pinot Noirs!

I just bought the Goldeneye pinot noir today. Paid more than I normally would for a pinot but wanted to try it out.  Hope its worth it.

I enjoyed the Primitivo I was served in Luminae on Millennium last year.

I could be wrong but don't think the Meiomi or Mondavi are true pinot noirs at least I was told that by my local wine consultant.

It's always said that. I've always taken the bottle to the MDR or Blu if we're in Aqua and nicely asked the sommelier to switch it and have never been refused. The only time I got a no was once when I asked our steward. He couldn't do it, but told us to try with the sommelier. That worked then and has continued to work.

I've done that as well but went through beverage manager. He brought it up directly to my cabin and was able to switch. The cabin attendant doesn't have the authority.

We also purchased the multi device plan yesterday at the old half off pricing with the capt's circle discount.

The increase took effect January 23rd however you can still purchase wifi at the old rate once onboard up to January 31st. It was easier for me to book prior to my cruise on Monday just because I don't need to line up..

    Website price is incorrect (now).

Did you purchase today through your cruise planner?

I would check your credit card pending charges to make sure you were charged the $7.50.

Yes I purchased last night as soon as I saw the post then looked at my CC pending charges are correct.

Is that to purchase, or does it just list the price?

Remember how long it too the room service to catch up with what's written on the website...

Website price is listed at 14.99. I purchased through my cruise planner for 7.50 as I'm platinum.

Although no announcement from Princess,  @ceilidh1’s post verified it for me. She has always posted reliable and accurate information.

I'm just glad I noticed and bought last night. I usually wait until the last minute and my cruise is on Monday.  However, when logging into princess website it still shows $14.99 for 1 device

I’d call in and ask for the adjustment.  Otherwise, have only heard of it as obc once ob.

BTW, old prices still showing on App.

I sail next Monday 10 nights on the Ruby so just bought the single device wifi through my app for $75.

Just did a mock booking on the Reflection for March 10th. A suite guarantee for two people was $4900. Not too bad but a suite guarantee for one person was $10,000. I’d make up a name and book two and just say the other person is checking in later. That’s ridiculous

That won't work it will just be a no show and you'll still pay double.
