  1. I did a quick check on Google Maps and quite a few options showed up. I don't trust their pricing, but you might want to check Kayak or similar or go right to the hotel sites and look at: Hyatt Regency on Lafayette Place Park Plaza in Copley Square Omni Parker House right on the Freedom Trail (very historic) Harborside Inn on the waterfront
  2. There will be taxis lined up at the airport like any major airport. They are all able to safely get you to your destination
  3. Check the reviews at TripAdvisor. It is very highly regarded. I don't have the Old Town map handy, if you do you can probably use google maps to find the distance.
  4. Fenway Park tours are popular. Bike tours along the Charles River. Art Galleries on Newbury Street.
  5. What is your date, how many beds do you need, and what is your budget?
  6. I think @PLee is confusing Sky Lagoon, which is on the outskirts of Reykjavik, with Blue Lagoon, which is near the airport 2 full days in Iceland? I'd book the Blue Lagoon for arrival day and use their transportation to get you from the airport to the Lagoon and on to your hotel. And on the 6th I'd take a Golden Circle or South Coast tour with a local provider. Reykjavik is a cute city, but the nature in Iceland is spectacular, and you won't really see it in the city or at Blue or Sky Lagoon (which are both great).
  7. Depends on what time your ship gets in and the day of the week. There is a tunnel to pass through to get to the airport and it carries lots of traffic on weekdays
  8. Just a note that the above is not a current MBTA map, it's missing the Green Line Extension (which won't come into play for the purposes of this thread) which is how I know it isn't current. I'm not sure what else might have changed since this one was published
  9. That is surprising to me. Did you do this during rush hour? Or on the holiday? I lived in Boston for 50 years and have a general idea of taxi and uber fares. And they are always higher than my estimate! 🙂
  10. I would take the MBTA Silver Line bus transit option to South Station then take the Free Transfer to the Red Line to Park Street Station
  11. From the cruiseport? I'd expect the fair to be quite a bit higher than that. You can go to the Uber app anytime to get a current estimate of the price.
  12. There are a few in town options. Ask on the Iceland forum at TripAdvisor for recent recommendations as Covid has caused some changes in options
  13. Then order your lobster roll without any mayo and you've got the perfect meal!
  14. Depends on if you want to taste Lobster or Butter, I guess. I never add butter to my lobster, no matter how it is prepared. I like the taste of Lobster!
  15. We get the cold mayo one "hold the mayo". If someone wants hot buttered lobster they should order a lobster or a lobster casserole
  16. Ask if the ship will turn the upper deck lights off. If they won't then you won't see the lights from the ship unless it is a very strong show. We did a South Atlantic cruise a few years ago and met the Navigator and arranged a "Southern Sky" viewing get together one evening, as many of us wanted to "See the Southern Cross for the First Time" as Jimmy Buffett sings, along with other rare to us constellations. He arranged for the lights on the top deck to be turned off for the show.
  17. Nice location for the cruise and right across the street from an outdoor music venue. You may hear the music from your room if you face that direction. Whether you want to or not! 🙂
  18. Definitely hurricane season. I lived in Boston all my life until last summer. I'd say you have a 15% chance of experiencing waves from a storm that you would feel on the cruise, 5% chance of a reroute, and an even smaller chance of getting stuck in NYC an extra day or two at the beginning of the cruise or returning early.
  19. Instead of playing with the poster, you could reply to one (or none if you don't know) and report the other as a duplicate.
  20. There are Water Taxi and MBTA options that are not affected by the tunnel closures
  21. Plenty of sidewalks and crosswalks and shops and restaurants. Tons of construction in that area, it changes dramatically from season to season, but the walkability has always been good
  22. I can't imagine that port handling two ships at the same time. Not even one 3000 person ship! There just isn't the infrastructure and tour buses and things to do for that many folks at one time.
  23. BSI Bus Terminal. Many hotels may store bags for a fee
  24. Lots of options out there. My experience is four years old and operator quality may have changed. Or ask on TripAdvisor where there are lots of local experts.
  25. That legroom thing is important and I understand why you would chose this option then
