If you have iphones the imessage works fine and for the others What's App also works...for call too. If you are all traveling together and friends anyway, it should not be a big deal to tarade info. That being said, I have met new people on all of our cruises (3 VVs) and traded numbers with them to cooridnate plans.

I also use my TA for the service. I have had to change my sailings a couple times and I was glad to not have to wait on hold to do it my self. I love that your agent continues to look for better pricing; I do this for myself for all of the other parts of the trip that I book myself...airfair, hotels etc. I have save myself $$$ many times.

Sometimes if you want a certain wine or liquor, as previous posts said, they won't be at all bar locations but basic drinks will. Also, they may make a certain drink at more than one location but I found that the esspresso martini was best made by the bartenders at On The Rocks!

Thanks for this great review. We will be sailing on AMA next summer going in the other direction, Basel to Amsterdam. What was your favorite excursion along the way? Did you discuss any of the excursions that you didn't select with others on your ship that sounded like we shouldn't miss?

I saw this question asked about 20 years ago with no new answers. So I went from EWR to SJU this past January and the flights were really expensive but I was able to get some good flights using award travel. I am looking for next January, which I know is very far out to look, but there seems to be less direct flights and so expensive. With more cruise ships starting from SJU, why are the amount of flights drying up and costs increasing? Has anyone else been seeing this?
