  1. So just to be clear, if I had covid in June, I don't even need a new test for my cruise Saturday? I had a positive test back then--I just need proof of that, and a COR from the doctor, and I'm good to go this weekend?
  2. On the Equinox in June, I found that you could only get berries for breakfast in the main dining room! They didn't put them out in the buffet.
  3. I was on Equinox in June. It's definitely worn in spots, but great service, clean etc. And you can walk all the way around to the front when coming into port to watch--the Retreat doesn't block that top wrap around deck like on some ships.
  4. That's what I'm doing and more--a backpack that can go under the seat. Buying a couple of pairs of pants and shirts in Amsterdam before the cruise seems like a good plan! I arrive 6 am the day before, so plenty of time to shop.
  5. Thanks, at least it still counts as Thursday!
  6. Thanks for all the info and ideas. And I hear you, Host Anne, that's the part I'm worried about the most too. I'm Cleveland to JFK to Amsterdam going and Amsterdam to Chicago to Cleveland coming home. Fingers crossed! I'm not checking bags, and my carry on will be small enough to go under my seat if it has too--I'm an extremely light packer, and I could pick up some things in Amsterdam for not much more than the checked bags fees, I think. I got covid on my Caribbean cruise at the end of June. My plan now is to get a test Wednesday at my local clinic and obtain a C of Recovery if positive (I've been negative using home tests twice now, so I'm not too worried), and if that's negative, then I'll feel good about a 2 am test on Thursday.
  7. Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I do have plenty of time to do it at the airport, I suppose.
  8. I know the answer to this, but I feel extremely anxious because the timing is so tight. My cruise leaves on a Saturday, I have to test two days before. My Thursday flight is 6 am, I'll leave for the airport at 3 am, which means doing the binax proctored test at 2 am on Thursday. I know it's 24/7, and it's two days not 48 hours--but wow, am I nervous about having to take the test at 2am. I can't change the flight--I'm going to have an 8-hour layover at JFK, but Delta has no flights before my transAtlantic other than the 6 am flight. I should be safe, though, correct? Reassure me, please...
  9. Since I'm reading so much about short-staffing right now, I figure I would give the person $5, I might have gone with $3 in normal times. Thanks for all the answers!
  10. I'm going on my first cruise Saturday on the Equinox. I had an inside stateroom, and but was surprised to move up to a verandah with what I thought of as a minimal move up bid. I'm planning to have lunch and dinner out and about, but was thinking of having breakfast on the verandah. From a thread earlier this week, I believe that a gratuity will be added to my account, but what about tipping the person who brings it in person? How much would be appropriate?
  11. Can I buy the biodegradable sunscreen on the ship--does Celebrity sell it in a shop?
