Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Actually deck 8 was close to everything. I preferred that over the upper levels and never noticed any noise. Depending on mobility I found it was always quicker to just take the stairs versus waiting on an elevator, but I was never in a hurry to get anywhere. I believe the club family balcony and club balcony are similar lay outs with the only difference is the balcony size. We have done both large and regular size balcony and really spent more time in the common area decks then our room decks so we felt we did not need to spend the extra money to have loungers vs regular chairs.
  2. We were in room 8734 last week and honestly, it was an ideal location. It was quiet and we did not have to use the elevator all the time... often the stairs were quicker. There were several places we liked to hang out within 1-2 floors. We never heard theater noise and the noisest day was disembarkment day with all the hustle and bustle of getting off the ship.
  3. We did the same for Sunday. I had called NCL for something else the other day and I asked about the Haven rooms and she looked it up and said that, they put some Haven rooms aside (so it looks sold out) for those that would be willing to bid on an upgrade. She said don't lose hope, we could end up finding out the day before. Good luck! I know our 16 year old is hoping to have more space from us. ha ha!
  4. Agree. I was on hold for an hour and of course, once I jumped in the shower, a live person came online. I did have her stay on the line for the entire process to make sure I received EVERYTHING in my email. SO double check junk emails, too.
  5. I did all this while on the phone with Onpoint and she said to click "client bill" as that's all a part of the service? I was "told" we would not be billed anything because I said oh shoot, I don't have my insurance card on me and she said oh no, don't worry about that, just click client bill. So I guess we will see. Also, if you did not receive a separate email for your husband then you did not register him. I received 3 emails for each one of us and that's where the results will be for each person. She had me just input my own email/phone number so we don't have to go digging for eveyones information.
  6. Mine is for 3 of us at the same time. I'd assume you could do all 4 at once.
  7. The Zoom information will come in your email after you pick out your time and fill out the covid information for all parties attending the covid test. It will have the link to click on to the "room" that you will be doing your telemed covid testing. As long as you have a device (phone, pc, etc) that has the zoom application on it, it will work. So, you will need to download zoom. Somehow, they had my reservation, but NOT the extra step that included everyone in my groups name/information.
  8. I Finally got through, of course, when I'm in the shower (an hour on hold) on speaker phone. ha! So, had to jump out real quick. They had my appointment in the system but for whatever reason I never got the link to finish the covid registration email, so they had to resend everything to me. So, make sure you have all the emails with the zoom information, etc. I am glad I double checked. I swear there is so much paperwork for a cruise that I can see how someone could easily overlook something if they were not doing their due diligence.
  9. Can those of you who used onpoint share how you rescheduled your appointment? I see nothing in my account regarding the date/time I chose and nothing in my email. I've been on hold forever with them and wondering what I am missing. It says I purchased 3 appointments... but where are the times. Why would I tell my family the date/time if I didn't actually book it? Help.
  10. Thank you! I swear figuring out excursions and studying the itinerary is more difficult then booking the cruise.
  11. We are booked on the Encore for an Alaskan cruise and I was looking at the timetable and thought I read return to the ship 2 hours prior of departure? If this is the case some ports only allow 4-6 hours but yet, the suggested excursions range from 1 1/2-6 1/2 hours. Is everything going to feel rushed on these shorter stops?
  12. Good question. I'd rather let everyone else rush off who are in a hurry if we can leisurely have one last breakfast before we drive home.
  13. I received an email to upgrade, and I sent in our bids. When I use that link it says "We have no space available." I'll assume our bids were not accepted??? Why would they send out an email if nothing was available?
  14. How do you know how many suites are currently available? We are currently in a Club balcony suite but received an email to upgrade, so I bid on Haven Aft Face penthouse with large balcony and the Haven courtyard Penthouse with large balcony.
  15. I am wondering if upgrading to an Aft Haven cabin suite is worth it on a cruise to alaska in August? We want a large balcony and am worried about not having an unobstructed room if we place a bid for this. Any advice?
