  1. You have a plethora of choices cruising doing California Coastal, Mexican Riviera, Alaska and Hawaii off the top of my head. You can drive to most ports of embarkation or take a short flight. But instead you'll decide to throw it away. SMH Have sailed four times since January on Princess, Celebrity, Royal and Carnival, with passenger capacities ranging from 35-80%. Did not feel we had a limited experience at all during our 52 days at sea. Have another 28 days booked later this year. If you wish to donate one of your FCC's to us, we would be more than happy to take it off your hands.
  2. What perks? Choc covered strawberries? A plastic luggage tag? A can koozie? A liter bottle of water? Other "perks" that are sold to anyone through FTTF?
  3. Since when are the Covid protocols limited to Carnival corporation? All of the major mass market lines have voluntarily decided to follow the CDC's guidelines. So, are all of the cruise lines going to go bankrupt? What testing stress? If you come up positive, you get a refund as a FCC and you just have to flip your airfare to a future flight.
  4. That's blasphemy that goes against the Carnival gospel. 🤣
  5. Carnival's website is not gospel since they do not enforce all of their own rules. There is zero consistency from ship to ship and even sailing to sailing. Quit guzzling the Carnival Kool Aid and get a dose of reality.
  6. Having sailed on Carnival over 20 times and over 40 times overall, I've seen my share of drunk adults, but far more misbehaved rug rats. Well behaved children are fine, but there are too many parents that take a vacation from parenting and let their kids do what they want since they're in a contained area. Besides that lets Mom have another frozen drink of her choice.
  7. Regurgitating what is on Carnival's website doesn't mean a thing if the rules are not enforced on board. It's not an opinion if a poster is giving factual information from first hand experience on multiple ships on what they see with their own two eyes.
  8. Have sailed on over 20 cruises on Carnival on every class of ship currently available and some that are in ship heaven. I speak from experience with my own two eyes that men can wear dress shorts on elegant night in the MDR. Shorts in the steakhouse is usually only allowed on night one because of the luggage factor. Rules on Carnival's website mean nothing, it's whether they are enforced or not. I've seen substantially worse violations in the MDR on elegant night besides men in a pair of Izod shorts and a collared golf shirt.
  9. Since the two new Costa by Carnival ships are additions to the fleet, making the first one based in NYC next spring adults only would not upset the cart by having to make any changes to the current Carnival fleet and their corresponding itineraries. They could use it as a trial for X amount of months and if it's successful, possibly extend it to the ship that will be based out of Long beach in 2024. This would be the easiest streamlined method and would not necessitate any changes in the fleet from turning any sailings or ships from family to adults only. If Carnival was ever going to do something like this, the addition of these two ships would give them the opportunity to show the bean counters and the beards if an adults only ship would be a positive addition to the fleet.
  10. It's 64.95 if purchased on board and 59.95 if purchased ahead of time. Each have 18% gratuities added. When embarking from Galveston and NYC, Cheers starts on day two.

  12. That's the problem in a nutshell. They are clueless.
  13. I don't freak out, just shake my head and have another sip of my adult concoction of choice.
  14. Since you obviously know it all, then what is your opinion as to what generates the most money on board? If it's not the casino, then it must be the bars. Certainly not going to be excursions, bingo or picture sales.
  15. No need to notify them and they will not know. When you arrive they will adjust accordingly depending upon the size of your party and whether your BIL will park his scooter and walk to your table or drive up to your table and stay in the scooter. The latter example would be the only reason why your specific table could need to be adjusted on the fly. If you want piece of mind, about an hour ahead of your reservation time, swing by and let them know if he'll be staying in his scooter.
  16. There is an overabundance of posters on various threads boasting all of the time about the offers they get for free inside or cheap balcony sailings and drinks on us in the casino versus everywhere on the ship. If Carnival wasn't printing money from the casino profits then why on God's green earth would there be the plethora of offers given to gamblers?
  17. Instead of making 1 ship adults only, the better option would be have a few sporadic sailings out of each port (PC, Miami, Galveston, Long Beach, NYC, New Orleans) as a test to see how it works. Maybe one sailing during the summer and another during the spring or fall of 2023. That would give them a dozen sailings to see it it's worth it or not.
  18. You can't compare a non smoking ship versus an adults only one. The casino is the number one profit maker and many gamblers smoke. Because of this fact, revenue from the casino was the major downfall in why the Paradise did not make it.
  19. So, which is it? On your first post you state that you have not been on the other lines yet and truthfully have no desire to go on them. Then on your subsequent post you state that you love NCL and you've used them for Europe and Hawaii. So, when did your desire change?
  20. Disappointed in P's drinks????? Good Spirits at Sea, with their craft cocktail menu available from 530-1130 blows away anything that Celebrity offers in their fleet, including the Edge and the Apex, both of which I have cruised on.
  21. So, for 11.91 a day, you get unlimited wifi and up to 15 alcoholic drinks. Only those who don't use a cell phone or drink alcohol would not see the benefit.
  22. It's technically against the rules to share your Cheers package even though many people do it on a daily basis. If less people did it, then possibly there would not be a price increase like we saw about a month or so ago. The bartenders and servers would not let you share beers with others, yet sodas or a milkshake was OK. Just continues the fact that Carnival has rules in place and they are never universally enforced.
  23. You're comparing an apple to an orange. You already stated that your least favorite Celebrity ship was the Summit, yet you're contemplating going on it's sister ship, the Millennium. Go on the Discovery, it's a beautiful ship. Was on her for two weeks in April.
  24. The package is 23.59 per day. If you just add the Plus package to your booking, it's 40.00 per day. When factoring out the tips, it's 25.50, so for 1.91 per day extra you get wifi and up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day. Even if you are a teetotaler, it's worth the less than 2 bucks a day for wifi.
  25. When factoring out tips, the plus package is 25.50 per day for wifi and unlimited non alcoholic and up to 15 alcoholic drinks. You do you, but why would you only get it for the front end of your B2B? Even if you only drink 2 alcoholic drinks a day, it's worth it.
